I hate Sony, but love their Playstation products (I'm not familiar with the rest of their products, so I can't hate them or love them)... Maybe if I go deeper, I can say I hate the stupid people that make (stupid) decisions within Sony, but they represent the company, so I hate the company

Even though I no longer hate Sony Kind of hard to with everything they're doing with the PS4. That said they still fucked up..ALOT with the PS3

 

With all due respect, Nintendo has an automated system that looks for infringing copyrights. THey sent a cease and desist to Suicide Girls because a model said she is a Super Metroid fan on her personal profile. Both the Evo Stream and this are pretty quickly rectified.

I called bluff on it since they streamed Brawl at Evo and MLG streamed Melee for years.

I'd like to ask, how is sony not sticking to the status quo as well? Look at their exclusives, a lot of them are great by they're also way too similar to other games. TLoU came out recently. Bought it, played it, beat it, loved it, but in the end, if you choose to open your eyes, you'll see that its nothing more than an apocalyptic uncharted game with Amazing graphics and zombies. KillZone, and Resistance are just generic FPS, and Infamous was great but "been there done that" with Crackdown which came many years before. All these companies recycle the same gameplay and splash a brand new coat of paint on them and no one even realizes. The only Sony exclusives that truly blew me away were MGS4 and Heavy rain which imo was such a breath of fresh air and it wasn't even an action game. I don't believe its wrong to use the same type of gameplay in games especially if they're still enjoyable but to say Nintendo is the only one that stays on Status Quo is insane when the others do it as well.

If you are underwhelmed by the last of us. You need to reevaluate your stance on gaming. It's more than some Zombie game with Stealth. It has a great story and it's not anything at all like uncharted. Killzone may just be some FPS but at least it's a good one. Crackdown sucked.
and, you conviently didn't list any Little Big Planet games.

And lets not forget Ico and SOTC which while remasters of PS2 are still unlike another other games.

 

I wasnt underwhelmed by the Last of Us at all. Where are you getting this? I'm merely speaking stone cold truth. I enjoyed the game very much, the graphics were superb, and the ending was incredible. I know it has a great story. I never said it didn't. I merely said it felt like an apocalyptic uncharted. You cant deny the gameplay wasn't similar. You're only lying to yourself to say that it wasn't. Still does not mean at all that it was a bad game. I merely pointed out that Nintendo isn't the only one to recycle gameplay, MS does this as well. And KillZone is a good fps? No offense but that's something only sony fanboys say. It has nice graphics but ultimately I can name better fps games like Metro Last light, Bioshock infinite, Skyrim, Fallout, etc. You say crackdown sucked liked as if I meant that infamous sucked also. Yes infamous was a better game than crackdown but it was pretty much the same shit, only with lightning powers. I actually did forget to mention little big planet sorry about that. I also enjoyed the game since there's so much user content to download and it is fun. My only problem is that it has over $120 worth of dlc that sony couldn't give its customers for free? Seriously? They make all these cool little costume packs and level playkits but want to milk us dry for small little things as if they were actual huge game expansions. That seems cool to you? I know ICO and SOTC are great games, I own the original ps2 copies and I own the remasters. You're confusing me for bashing Sony when all i'm doing is pointing out truths. I still own and love all my PS systems, but I wont deny that sony doesn't screw gamers as much as Microsoft does. These two are already bringing big changes to this business. Some of them good, and some of it meant to fuck us over. You praise sony yet forget what they did this gen and that goes for MS too. Do you honestly believe sony is the good guy in this childish console war? Everyone can hate the wii u but its Backward compatible, Is now the Only free online system, allows you to transfer your old purchases, and is compatible with old wiimotes and accessories. it may not be as powerful as the ps4 and x1 but it still looks good on my 60in LED.

I got a wii with wii sports, farcry and splinter cell.

farcry and spliner cell where crap both in gameplay and graphics but the wii sports was good for a week or two, that was about 4 years ago and my wii has been collecting dust ever since.

I don't see how Heavy Rain was a breath of fresh air: it was basically an adventure game with mindnumbingly easy and stupid puzzles - all of the actual gameplay consisting of QTEs - and there was too much emphasis on the terrible story with its truck-sized plot holes. Awful game, David Cage is a talentless hack.

 

There were some QUALITY games on the system. Check out No More Heroes.

 

Sin & Punishment 2 was great, probably the best Nintendo-published game on the Wii.

 

Don't forget MadWorld & Red Steel 1 which both were great imho

 

I enjoyed Red Steel, and MadWorld was alright to until I got later in the game and it felt repetitive. But those are both really solid games.

 

I agree on MadWorld as i'd wished they made a sequel like how Red Steel had they're part 2 but not the other which sucks, but anyways it is not a bad game at all any costs i'll says it's just good but could've done better type of games.
