A picture I took last autumn from "3. floor" in the building I live in. Because I really wanted some pictures of the beautiful colours of the leafs we have in the back of this house every autumn . The other picture is a picture of a Zen Garden plus the surroundings of it.
It is, and perhaps I should take some pictures of the forest near me too. If that has any interest . And those two pictures of the parking lot is two of nine pictures I took of the backside of the building I live in. So if any one has a way of making a neutral water marking of my pictures I could reupload the series of nine pictures.
one i took my first trip to kamloops. i now live here. This area gets weird in the late fall/winter. it goes from hot and busy *like now* to empty-ish, silent, cold and foggy. like at any moment a fire wurm or an army of jötnar will come barreling down the hill. wouldn't be weird to empty out in the winter but this is a moderately sized city for BC
That looks pretty cozy, at least if there is a fireplace and a hot chocolate waiting Got some new pictures from whatever my area looks like now. I must say autumn with its often bright blue skies and cool yet mild weather is my favourite time of the year, even better than spring. Street nearby Main street. Population: 900 Someone's hobby: A 1930 Ford. I don't know if it is a German model though, would be pretty rare to see cars that are older than WW2 these days. He is an oldtimer fan and drives his cars even regularly to work. The 1930 Ford does at least 80km/h, I followed him for 30 minutes ^^. Furthermore there is also a 1960's Opel in his garage in a very lovely state. The farmer's garden The farmer's cellar where I get my EGGs
They don't have a daughter, but their American stepdaughter visits them each year. At least something, here's a picture of her: ..... T_T To be honest, I am afraid in that house the youngest daughter of whoever is approx. 85yrs old.^^
Where I live: Actually, I am about 2 mins up the river, just out of shot. I live next to Glasgow's largest park. Open my door, cross the road and I'm there. If you are at all interested in architecture and want to see what is being built in Glasgow: http://www.glasgowarchitecture.co.uk/index.html One plan that Glasgow City Council are implementing are giant solar panels in the shape of flowers lying along the surface of the river Clyde. They'll use the electricity they create to light parts of the river bank. Great idea if you ask me! In the 17 years I have lived here I've watched Glasgow torn apart and completely rebuilt. It's not the same city and every few months an entirely new section is completed. At the moment they are working on the completion of what used to be called "The road to nowhere". When the main motorway was built (M8) they didn't complete the southern ring of it (M74). They cut through the northern part of the city, using the path of existing canals as the route through Glasgow. This incomplete southern section is being opened up to reduce congestion just in time for the Commonwealth Games in 2014. Where I live has been completely transformed and doesn't even look like the Google satellite images any more. They flattened massive sections and tore down old warehouses. There are large patches of open ground being developed ahead of the games. One thing I am a bit dubious of is that Glasgow city council seem determined to destroy all the old schools, but seem reluctant to replace them. Kids are traveling a lot further and being crammed into already crowded classes. But this is what I want to happen, but it's a long way of. http://video.stv.tv/bc/stv-news-090826-c2-rail/
In comparison to my crumby-yet-fairly-large midwest-USA town, most things are amazing. We do have this excellent statue, and that's about it. And the bridge is pretty neat, I guess.
The bridge looks excellent! The one in the first image (that's an arc) had a technical problem last year and they had to close it to traffic and pedestrians. It kept popping bolts and the steel wires holding it up started to snap! Luckily I don't have to cross that particular bridge all that often, there are 3 bridges closer to where I live and the kids love "the red bridge" which is, as it sounds, bathed in red lights at night. Not for prostitutes however, just 'cause!
