Can't believe the news! GT5 delayed due to "production" problems to an unknown date! source is one of the main italian press agency. this is quite shocking... didn't they took enough time already, and how comes they couldn't see it coming in advance? if some insiders have some news i'd love to hear them!
not surprising, but i thought the creator had said at one point that they're ready to release the game whenever Sony would let them.
Im sure that when he said that, it was true. But once you start cooking up new features in the meantime, that have already been shown to the public, I doubt that you just want to release them incomplete.
Odd considering they just recently showed off the final cover art. Then again the Detroit auto show just started... Yamauchi probably saw 20 more cars he had to have in the game or something like that. The man is a car fanatic.
I am in no hurry. There are plenty of games to play before committing myself to GT5. I d rather have a polished game than a rushed one. I didn't use to be like this but I guess growing up teaches a man how to be patient at times.
So it's delayed? I am sure when it comes out it will be a fantastic game and it'll be worth the wait, the GT series has been the pinnacle of motorsport games anyway.
I honestly don't care if it's being delayed. I prefer waiting than having a huge patch being released 2 days after it hits the stores. Kaz is a perfectionist, and knowing that the game have the official licenses of WRC, Nascar, SuperGT and Indy, very diffent type of cars i guess they need more time to get it right. Plus, how can anyone complain when all this is going to be in the game: * 1,000+ vehicles * All vehicles have modeled cockpits (170 premium cars will have interior damage modeling) * All vehicles will have both physical and mechanical damage modeling * Indy (IRL) cars and tracks * NASCAR cars and track * Up to 16 players online * High-definition video uploads directly to YouTube * Multi-display rendering * Head-tracking * Full weather and night racing on all tracks * Night/Day on all tracks By the way, did you guys saw this ad? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w9V2YgZ7jjY Great music! If you don't know who he is, it's Lucas Ordonez, 1st GT Academy winner, that became a real racing driver on the FIA GT4 Championship!
all good and nice; i just hope that the final game doesn't have the INCREDIBLY BAD control of the version they have just released as demo/promo... it is ALMOST COMPLETELY UNPLAYABLE with a normal pad... and i don't think i'll be in the mood to dish out 150$ for a gt force to play it so sad! all the prededing GT could be played wonderfully with a pad T_T Also the grip of the track/car is ridiculous; more like racing on rain/ice than on a racetrack... i keep my finger crossed tough, GT never disappointed me so far.
It's not the pad's fault, it performs very badly in a realistic wheel setup as well. That is to be expected however, considering the car they offer you which in the demo is: a) professional physics by default and you can't change them b) despite having pro physics you CAN NOT adjust your car to suit your needs ( I d go for some extra front braking myself to slide into turns) but there's a good reason for the above. It's so that really patient/good drivers can make their mark, in tandem with the competition that was up until the 24th of Dec.
I don't really know why you are even here, to be honest. Don't you have some RTM Saturn review code to get excited about or something?
