gscartsw: automatic 8:1 SCART-RGB switch

Oh, no idea why did it take so long. Usually it arrives in 2 weeks for the UK customers.

 

I got one of the 9 left over ones you put up the other day - the postage was fast. But I'd put a warning on your site to customers about customs.

 

There is a warning about customs there:
"I’m not responsible for the customs fees, that’s something which is entirely on you."

 

£25 ain't that bad I think I paid around £40 when I got my Gscartsw 3.2 earlier last year

I've just added gscartsw_lite information to http://www.gretrostuff.com. This is kind of formal announcement, it's still not available for general public so please don't rely on it. I manufactured a few prototype units which were sent to some people for testing and general feedback. All updates on that project will be posted here.
Meanwhile tomorrow I'm opening gscartsw v3.4 pre-orders (most likely 2-week window) and also I will put available gcompsw switches on sale.

 

Is there a specific maximum number of pre-orders you will be taking for the next round of gscartsw 3.4's, or will you accept pre-orders during the 2-week window regardless of volume? Just trying to understand if I have at least the weekend to make up my mind on picking up a 3.4 or waiting for the _lite model. I was 30 minutes late for the last round of 3.4's and all were sold, hope the pre-orders don't fill up like that.

 

I didnt see that, but anyway glad you marked it as $100 otherwise it would have been closer to £40.

Am using it with my SNES, Megadrive, Amiga and RGB Modded N64 at the moment. Works perfectly, just like if I was going direct to the framemeister. This is after failing on 3x seperate powered scart switches, glad to finally have a solution!

 

I will order as many as needed + I always order extra units depending on the funds I currently have.

Yeah, $100 is the compromise between insurance and price, long story short I can't insure it for more and declare it for less as declared value has to be >= insurance. Glad it works for you!

I wondered why the photo of the PCB says "Ukraine" and the shop page says "China". Where is it produced?

 

It says "Designed in Ukraine". I manufacture it in China and assemble here in the US, is that important to you?

 

Ah, okay. It's not that important. I just wondered because all of krikzz Everdrive PCBs have "Ukraine" printed on them. In krikzz case he also lives in Ukraine which makes sense.

Do you allow me the question what "designed in Ukraine" means as the board layout comes from you?
