This is a bit off topic but what size bolts do you use on your gscartsw case? I am Macgyvering a non related project and out of desperation tried one of your bolts and it fit perfectly but I don't know the specs and refuse leaving the case minus one bolt hehe.

For outer bolts I use metric M3 ones, for SCART I use smaller metric M2.5 bolts.

If I have one of those VGA->5x BNC cables do I also need a T-connecter for the HV sync to my PVM, or if I put the SCART switch in c-sync mode does the sync come over either the grey or black cables?

No, you don't need any additional stuff, you put the switch to csync mode and sync will come through either grey or black, I always forget which one :)

Hi, pre-ordered 2 of these units 2 days ago. Can't wait to get them. What is the time frame so I can keep my mind at ease while I wait for them. Thanks been reading reviews and your products seem great. This will replace 3 of my bandridge switches connected in a daisy chain.

I cut off the pre orders tomorrow so hopefully it should be around 5 weeks from now.

I just placed an order! I've been following your work for a long time, and am super excited to finally be getting a solid switch for my Framemeister; switching manually has NOT been pleasant. I've also heard it can be damaging to hardware, so I've always been somewhat anxious when changing systems. No longer! I can't wait until it arrives.
(I also intend on picking up one of your component switchers when you begin production.)

Hi all. Looking to find out what signal is being output from the VGA connector when the input is 480p RGB scart from a Dreamcast Toro box. Would it also be 480p?

You get exactly what you're supplying, in your case you should get 480p. Some people here had troubles with Toro and my switch, other report good results, just FYI.

The pre-orders are closed and I'm working on manufacturing right now.

Great thank you. Mine's been working great. Just looking to add the new wireless Dreamcast light gun which requires 480p via the VGA connector.

On an unrelated topic, am I correct that when connecting a PS2 to the switch I should be using port 8 only?

It depends on your PS2 mode. If you want to forward RGsB then yes, switch won't detect the signal and you may want to use input 8 to get it forwarded. If you use just ordinary SCART and not 480p - you're fine with any input.

So here's how it's currently being done: 2 weeks of pre-orders, ~5-6 weeks until I'm able to ship, 1 week to ship stuff, 2-3 weeks until I make sure all went fine and extras going on sale and then I'm ready for the new batch. The iteration usually takes around 3 months. You may want to get extra units because I always order more, but judging from my previous experience you have to be quick once I put them on sale!

Is there anything different about port 2? I just discovered that if I move my SNES from port 1 to port 2 it doesn't work correctly. I get no audio, the picture is very dark and has rolling horizontal lines (almost like interference). Oddly though, I can hook up my PS2 to port 2 and it works fine. Any ideas? Only difference is SNES is 240p while PS2 is 480i

There have been issues with modded SNES mini given that some of the mods have incorrect RGBS levels. If you read this topic backwards it was explained more in detail a couple of times.

I see. Thanks for the info. Any idea why the problem would present only using port 2?

If sync level is very close to the detection trigger level a lot of things can affect it like interference, resistance differences etc.
