gscartsw: automatic 8:1 SCART-RGB switch

I'm watching this thread but it doesn't look like I ever got an update that you were taking pre orders. Just noticed they are full now as of 1/30. That's a bummer. My friend has one and loves it. Is there something I can do to ensure I don't miss the next batch? Thank you

 

If you subscribed to instant email notifications you have to check the topic after every mail because otherwise they will stop coming, I guess this is intended behavior of the new forum engine.

 

Well that's unforetunate. I'll try to keep up with it but this thread gets a lot of emails. I hope I don't keep missing out.

 

Have pick up pvms today and tested them with vga /bnc cable but seems the red signal not work, dont have another cable to test, so not sure if the problem is the cable or gscartw.
Need to buy another cable to check .

 

Did you try the SCART output?

 

the scart output work very well with no problem (used with a sony 29'crt)

 

In this case I don't think there is a VGA problem, in switch circuit output just splits to two: SCART and VGA, there are just capacitors and resistors. Most likely it's the cable.

Update: Almost everything have been ordered except SCART connectors, my supplier will get back on February 10 so I hope there shouldn't be any delays.

Reason were all into Scart is because of RGB Video, especially the American customers where Scart does not exist.
Yes the G Scart Switch is the "RGB" version, that kinda the point.

Keep in mind Scart is not a video format, only a connector type. Scart is just happens to be a connector that happens to carry RGB Video (as well as a number of other formats).

 

Maybe he meant jp21, in Japan they call it RGB as far as I know.

 

Not trying to take any business from superg, but if you just can't wait...

That is tempting. But honestly with most people missing the call for preorders, then asking here to be put on the waiting list I don't think you are hurting Super G.
