gscartsw: automatic 8:1 SCART-RGB switch

Can you include shipping cost to the most common international desinations on the page? I am from Europe (Germany).

 

International shipping is $35 everywhere, domestic $20 (USPS Priority Mail), I've added that to order pages.

You can't use Russian paypal account, it has to be from the same country where the shipping is to.

Will the sync stripper circuitry handle the RGB out of an Amiga?

Edit: which, if memory serves, kicks out 5v sync levels...

 

So the gscartsw_lite won't have any audio output? So we'd have to maybe get a SCART-to-BNC(RGBS) cables that also has RCA audio which we could plug into our AVR or wherever?

Shouldn't be an issue for me either way since I'm planning on having each of my consoles output audio directly to an AVR so I don't think any audio will be sent to the gscartsw anyway. Speaking of that, can you see any issue with having all the audio going directly to an AVR in terms of the audio possibly coming a split second before the video?--Probably not since it's all happening super fast, but wanted to see

 

Yeah, no separate 3.5 audio output for gscartsw_lite. You can get it easily from one of the SCARTs if really needed. Shouldn't be any issue connecting it directly.

 

Don't think I understand what you mean, RGB isn't passed through sync stripper circuit, are you talking about Sync?

 

Sorry, rushed and poorly worded.

The custom video out connector on Amigas provides TTL level syncs (csync, hsync and vsync are all available). i.e. they are 5V level vs sub 1V. I was wondering if the gswitch handled this.

And to clarify what the sync circuit will do - does it generate seperate Hsync and Vsync signals from a csync input?

 

TTL is a problem, multiplexers clamp everything to -2.5V - 2.5V.
Switch can do H/V sync from csync using VGA connector.

 

Ok good to know, have previously broken kit in the past by using non-modified cables and passing the TTL sync into displays that can't handle it. On the plus side it just needs some pull down resistors in the scart cable...

 

I use an RGB cable out on my amiga 600 through the gscartsw.... into my framemeister. Works a treat for me.

 

It may be that your modification properly converts TTL sync to 0.7vrms.

 

My switch from the January batch arrived yesterday to Spain. No additional custom fees in this case.
