i read in the message you sended to me its in late june,but declare intrest in 1 unit here like you said.

 

I hate having to work and coming home tired, only to see I missed my opportunity at a JP21 switchbox -_-. Did the preorder window even last 24 hours? I didn't think there were many old timers like I who stayed with the JP21 spec.

 

looking for someone who can provide a male to male JP-21 cable. PM me if you have one for sale.

You missed the boat on calling it out on an interest check by about 3 years and the validation by a couple months, when superg sold the SCART version. Why bother dropping in now?

Not that it's any of your business, but there used to be validation in this thread. I would suggest revising the way you talk to staff and minding your own business when it doesn't concern you.

 

I think you're aware that I haven't had any web store until a few days ago, aren't you?
I've had some domain redirect issues that's why image links were broken. I've simply deleted them totally forgetting about the fact they're needed in a marketplace thread.
Anyways everything was restored.

Hi all, retro_cable_accessories put up a male-to-male JP-21 gscartsw cable to hook it up to the XRGB-mini Framemeister if anyone is interested. Unfortunately, there is only one left though. If you don't get one, I'd message her to let her know that there is more interest in more.

LOL, how this is possible... I've send her my handmade JP21 male-to-male diagram, she didn't get back to me but made some cables for sale?

 

I also reached out to her a few days ago with the pin-out pics you posted. She just messaged me back that they were up for sale. However, there were only 3. I'm guessing more will come up in a few days as I know there are others looking for one as well.

 

Goddammit I don't understand those people...
She should've at least mentioned what diagram was used and where she has gotten it from. I've invested a lot of time figuring this out, investigating the signals and how should it be routed, those resistors things, crossover, drawing the diagram etc. She got it all in my PM to her months ago, I proposed her just to order a batch of cables for my gscartsw JP21 edition to bundle it with the switch and she didn't get back to me, I've asked several times. Now I see that her intention was to rip off everything and sell it herself. It's not like I was going to charge more for the cable but it was supposed to be a convenience for every JP21 edition buyer who would get everything at one place.

 

I'm not trying to get into the middle of the situation that I clearly don't have all of the facts on. However, how many of the JP-21 units were sold? From watching her store and trying to buy cables, it seems as if the bandwidth she has is rather low at this point as only a few cables a day are being made and many of those are custom ones lately, which signals to me that she is doing all of it on her own. Just playing devil's advocate that she may have not been able to mass produce these in the quantities needed. However, as in many problems between people in life, communication would have likely cleared this up and it looks like she dropped the ball on that.

 

What do you mean "doing it on her own"?
1. she got a diagram from me ~2 months ago
2. she started selling it right at the moment I've released JP21 edition switches
3. there are exactly 0 devices except my JP21 switch which requires such a cable. I suppose such devices existed in nineties in Japan but I couldn't find any and I've tried hard. Selecty 21, the one and only JP21 switch box is using own cable standard so this cable won't work

Trust me, everybody who has bought this cable owns/ordered my JP21 unit.

 

I understand. I didn't know you sent them the diagram 2 months ago. I meant that if you needed 100 cables, that perhaps they couldn't make that many, but if they had 2 months or fewer JP21 units were sold, then maybe that idea falls flat.

 

I needed just 20. And she/they've said "yes, I can manufacture those". Then she disappeared, I've asked twice and I was ready to make an order. I would understand if she said "no, sorry, we're too busy to work on that", I've got such a reply from "www.retrogamingcables.co.uk" upfront and they have my respect for that.
I'm an open minded straightforward person, I like KISS principle (keep it simple stupid) and the stuff I do is as open as it can be under the given circumstances. But when I see something unfair is going on and it affects the things I'm directly involved in - I'm getting crazy.

 

Understandable. I'm sure keeping up with demand is frustrating on your end too with all of the people asking for more, more, more. Is there anyone else that may put one of these together where we may purchase from? I know I'm too busy to wire it up myself. I'd like to support you the best way possible since I know and respect the work you've put in on this project (and upcoming ones as well).
