gscartsw: automatic 8:1 SCART-RGB switch

I'm a little confused about the need for Male to Male cables on the JP21 switch. Is that for daisy chaining switches? And would something similar be needed for SCART? Currently my setup is all SCART and I've got a Hama switch. It works fine but it's only got three outputs and I have to press buttons like a god damn caveman, so that's why I need one of these 8 port deals. I'm just trying to figure out if I need to buy another cable in advance. I thought I'd be ok but now I'm not certain.

 

SCART male-to-male cables are available everywhere. You just need a cable to connect my switch to your TV, I don't provide that at the moment. Similarly JP21 version requires such cable. You use SCART so you will need SCART male-to-male cable, which is available from various sources.

 

But I'm fine if, as in my case, I have a XRGB to SCART male connector for the switch, right? I should be able to just swap out my current Hama switch with yours with no issues...I think?

Most awesome thing about this is the dual outputs.. Going to use the VGA to output to my PVM and the SCART for my Framemeister. Can't wait!

 

Does anyone know if they sell dust covers for empty SCART ports? This switch has more ports than I need at the moment and I'd really like to keep it clean.
