I need just a few days. It'll be opened for quite some time so I wouldn't worry about it.

I know. I guess they're popular - I only logged on 45 minutes after they were put up for sale apparently :) I just want to know if I am hitting the correct place to buy them for next time. I'd be very happy to pay now if there was some kind of waiting list but appreciate that it might be hassle for the bloke who makes them... Just have to be quicker next time I suppose ;)

superg, when you're opening new preorders, please consider letting us register for our interest in another JP21 run as well. I totally get that you need a certain number of buyers, but I'm sure there'll be enough interest. Don't underestimate the market. Many of use are coming from XRGB setups and opted for JP21 pinouts a long time ago. Thanks for considering :)

I can do that, but really it's gonna be infinite wait and then people will start complaining.

EDIT: all units will be dropped off tomorrow, have to get few more international boxes.

I have been using my gscartsw for about a month now and I absolutely LOVE it!!! Has anyone tried daisy-chaning them together to get to 15 devices from 8? Just curious....

I would love to see a similar device for S-video some day, because this thing is really amazing!!!

I've just received my 2 units in the UK. Daisy chained together, with 11 consoles plugged in... Room to grow!

I have to say the build quality is excellent, the units themselves are worth displaying!

EDIT: Oh and regarding PC Engine issues being discussed earlier: my RGB modded PC Engine works fine and so does my stock CoreGrafx using an RGB EXT port cable (made by the ebayer in Sweden), no colour or contrast problems.

Glad to hear this! I just ordered a Core Grafx and the RGB EXT cable from the guy in Sweden :) Though now I see the one person reporting some issues on the same setup earlier in the thread, argh. Fingers crossed.

@Jimjim150 Thanks for letting us know you have no problems with your CoreGrafx and EXT cable. It could be just me that is experiencing issues then?

@Conezays Please report back to let us know how you get on with yours. Like I said, the EXT works amazingly otherwise.

Will do. I ordered the Pro Coaxial Multicore Male to Male cable from retro console accessories (for the gscartsw) to hopefully mitigate any issues; I've been using a cheaper cable on my Hama clone up until now.

OK so I appear to be having a strange issue when powering off my Mega Drives. Basically a high pitch tone/ squeak coming through the audio. My guess is it's power discharge being picked up by some cabling and initially I suppose I'm looking at it being an issue with the SCART cable running from the gscartsw to the TV (bypassing Framemeister atm).

However if I move either of the Mega Drives to port 8 on the gscartsw the noise completely dissappears. This is the same on both gscartsws I received, the sound is much more pronounced on one particular mk1 MD (which is my main unit) I've tested various Mega Drives and it is the same type of sound to varying degrees, also the 2 gscartsws produce slightly different tones on the same console.

To be honest, I'm just going to use port 8 for my main Mega Drive, but thought it was worth bringing up.

    Cheers, Jim.

That sound is apparently just something that happens because of the way the gscartsw is designed, when you turn it off some of the capacitors audibly discharge. There's most likely nothing wrong with your cables or setup.
I got the same thing on the JP21 edition, but it actually stopped happening after a while.

I thought this will be a good time to share a bit of a review on my gscart. I am kind of shocked how fast it arrived so major kudos, superg!

I have connected 7 devices on it thus far: NES, SNES, N64, Genesis, Saturn, Dreamcast and PCEngine. I tested them all and they work really well. Except one. The Dreamcast.

I am not sure if it's an issue with my Toro box or not, but when I plug it directly to the framemeister (which as its own sync stripper), it works ok, but when it goes to the gscart and then to the framemeister, it doesn't work. Now I thought it might be just because I'm "doubling" on the sync strippers, until I tried to test it with my Sony 20L5 PVM and no matter what I tried, I couldn't get a clear signal in. I am sure it's a sync issue, and I am not sure if it's because of my unit, the Toro or some unseen factor, so if anyone has an advice I'd love to hear!

I can confirm that the Dreamcast works for me with a Toro via the gscartsw.
But I have to set the csync/hvsync switch on the switch to csync. Hope this fixes your issue (also try the c/hv switch inside the Toro, I've set this to csync as well).

Thanks for the reply. I heard from another source it works but I didn't get it to work.

I have all my consoles set to Csync on the Gscart and it works fine on all of them BUT the dreamcast). I also tried to toggling the switch inside the toro to no avail. I have it pressed fown for Csync, and I know it works because it works perfectly when I plug it directly to the framemeister. I think it might be because my Scart adapter for the framemeister has a sync stripper, and maybe it interferes with the gscart. This might explain the framemeister issue, but it doesn't explain why my PVM isn't able to accept the signal using a regular D-sub to BNC4 cable (YPbPr and a Sync). While I see the picture on the pvm it is jittery, constantly flashing no matter how much I try to mess with the sync (which I don't know how to).
