gscartsw: automatic 8:1 SCART-RGB switch

Potentially that stuff could work, but I don't have it here to test. Switch has nothing to do with cable length, key thing here is cable resistance and interference, longer the cable bigger the loses.

 

Just had a question about Sync. If my cables have Csync and Luma. Would i have the Sync button ON or OFF on the Gscart?

You don't have to keep it ON if you don't experience any issues.

 

Update: PCBs are manufactured and automatic soldering is done. They are soldering SCART connectors now.

Looking forward - here's my 'second retro gaming setup' that will make good use of a 2nd GScart. I'll be using both VGA and SCART outs

Just started down the rabbit hole with purchasing my first PVM. I expect it to show up next week. Looking forward to eventually acquiring this switch!

Awesome dude. Can't wait and thanks for the update. Any idea of when they will be on their way to us? No rush at all, i just want to know when i should have the champagne and strippers ready for the party i am throwing when it arrives.

Has anyone tried it with a CRT_Emudriver/GroovyMAME setup by chance? I have a custom VGA to SCART cable, it basically just combines Horizontal and Vertical sync into Composite sync with a couple resistors as seen here. It's worked on my 20" PVM via BNC breakout and via Component transcoder on a consumer set, but I wasn't sure if it was in spec to what the gscartsw can detect. Thanks!

What postage carrier will you be use to ship the gscartsw out? The reason I ask is because I'm usually at work during the day and I used my home address as the shipping address for my order. If the carrier (e.g. Fed Ex or UPS) requires a signature or a "safe place to drop off package", then I may need to update my shipping address.

 

I ship using USPS Priority Mail domestic and USPS First Class for international orders.

 

Noooo! The JP21 version has been discontinued? Damn it! I wanted to buy one to use for splitting the signals to my PVM and Framemeister (for capturing stream) at the same time since my PVM doesn't have an RGB passthrough.

The only other option I can think of is getting an Extron DA2 RGBHV, but with that I still have to yank the cables around every time I wanna switch consoles.

Jesus! I feel so dumb for not ordering one earlier! superg, are there absolutely no way to get my hands on a JP21 version anymore? I live in Japan and all the cables I've invested in are JP21, and I need to output two signals at the same time in order to play on my PVM while capturing footage for streaming through the XRGB Framemeister at the same time.
