You can get Micomsoft Xsync-1. It has amplifier and VGA output and you can switch between CSYNC and HVSYNC for VGA.
(my switch does the same _but_ it has DC restore circuit as well)

So would I be able to use that with the gscart VGA output? I need to be able to convert VGA to component for my CRT... Or do you mean connect theXsync-1 to the Framemeister through the VGA output? Sorry, I'm not quite understanding how the Xsync-1 can be used for what I want. Thanks for the help!

I'm talking about splitting the source to two different destinations. You either use gscartsw which can do it, or you use Xsync-1.
Now another problem is converting your RGBS signal to component, am I correct?
If so you will need just the converter. There is a guy Mauricio on this forum, he is using the RGBS to component converter with my switch so you may ask him if you want.

    Hey,
I know I don't have any units purchased (as of yet lol), but I am curious if you ship to Canada? It is not a big deal if you don't as I have an American address that it can be shipped to, its just a bit of a pain to pick it up.

I ship international with an exception of some countries, Canada is not in that list.

    Hey everyone,
Anyone have any experience using the GBS-8200/8220 or the Ambery 15khz to 31khz converter with systems such as NES/SNES/Genesis/Saturn/N64/PS1/PS2?

I have a Sony Bravia LCD TV model #KDL-32BX420 and I would like to use the "RGB IN" port with the gscartsw's VGA OUT port. I'd love to hear some feedback on how these are used and any trouble I might run into when using them.

Ultimately, I'm trying to avoid having to by an upscaler since they can be a bit pricey.

Hey all - enjoying this device...totally simplified my setup(s).

I ordered a second one and looking forward to receiving -

Wanted to ask if anyone has come across a 'drop out' problem with Framemeister and an SNES? It seems to happen 2 or 3 times an hour and random situations, momentarily. Audio doesn't drop, just like the framemeister is attempting to confirm sync/resolution settings.

I'm running a SNES Jr modded for RGB, and after some substantial playtime over the last few days, I've noted some drop outs occurring, just playing Super Mario World. And this problem seems to only when my SNES is running through the switch.

I want to do some additional testing - so far, I've swapped out my 'SCART M/M' cable between the switch and the Framemeister (I used the retrogaming premium cable (https://www.retrogamingcables.co.uk/euroscart-male-to-euroscart-male-rgb-scart-cable-packapunch?search=scart to scart)

and then swapped with another cable (this one: https://www.retrogamingcables.co.uk/scart-male-to-scart-male-21-pin-wired-euroscart-for-sale)

The first cable definitely yields better image / sound (Recommend that one generally) but the issue occurs regardless of connection cable.

I understand some have reported known issues with SNES configured for RGB see dropouts on framemeister that have nothing to do related to this switch. Its just that I first encountered the problem introducing this switch to the connection path.

Will do some more testing, but wanted to see if anyone had some thoughts or related experience? I'm also running the CSYNC Euroscart to framemeister XRGB mini adopter +USB power).

    Thanks all!

There is sync level setting in Framemeister - find lowest and highest stable levels and set your sync level somewhere in the middle. I experience SNES dropouts as well, even when directly connected.

Just use the VGA cable and see what happens.

Yeah, I just want to convert the RGB signal to Component at this point. Thanks for the reply. I'll try contacting Mauricio.

@superg , do you know when you'll be accepting orders again? My wife wants to buy me one as a gift. What's the best way to find out when to preorder.

Ahh - thanks - I thought there was some type of systemic SNES related issue, I'll play around with sync on framemeister....It seems like the SNES image was improved when running through the GSCartsw...never got it to fail directly connected, but I'll do some more testing.

This batch has been ordered, I'll have some extras for sale some time after I'll ship all the preorders. Subscribe to this topic and read it from time to time, I post all updates here.

The switch is amplified and DC restore is improving sync up to some extent, that may explain it.

My current location is making getting a pvm or bvm overly expensive due to shipping. Using the scart side for the xrgb-mini but the best crt I can get here that can do light guns only has svideo and composite

Oh, ok. Well, it's very likely it will work just fine, but I don't have such a device and it's untested.

Can the switch be used with a 33 ft male to male scart cable or will there be too much signal loss?

That's too long, I don't think anything will work. I mean you will clearly see the degradation.
