Just confirming that the gscartsw is working great with my Core Grafx and the RGB cable from fidd_se (as well as a recently acquired RGB N64). Cheers.

Is it possible to sneak into the current batch? If not, I'm happy to wait for the next one!

This looks like a great product, can't believe I only just learned of it today! Would finally sort out my mess of a setup.

Should be the black wire, I had one of the 5-wire cables and I didn't get sync until I disconnected the black wire and swapped in the grey wire.

Sad to hear that JP21 is discontinued, but it makes sense if there wasn't enough interest from buyers to continue producing it. I suspect all of the JP21 die-hards bought their switches in the first batch.

    Yes, you'll make it.

Got a bill from my manufacturer, will be paying tomorrow.

Hi Superg......... What SCART cable should we purchase or do you suggest to Daisy Chain two of your switches together? I purchased 2 from the upcoming batch and wanted to order the correct cable ahead of time.

Well, this is the usual SCART male to male cable, use the same as you would use from the switch to a TV. Check this thread, there are several options and some recommendations.

Ugh... the pain of not receiving a thread update notification and missing out on ordering these SCART switches is too much :(.... Wish I could just pre-order and pay full price and wait patiently for them to come... Working a full time job, being a parent and relying on a broken thread update alert system isn't conducive towards achieving the goal of placing an order :(

It was opened for more than two weeks. It was enough to check the thread once a week really :)
There will be extra units, the same as the last time, I'll put them on sale some time after I'll ship all the pre-orders.

The components have been ordered and PCB manufacturing has been paid.

If there is two available is there any chance I could buy them? I am more than willing to pay for them now.

To save him the trouble, he doesn't do preorders for those and doesn't accept extra money to cut the line.

Basically there are many people who have the money who want to do the same as you, but to be fair since the demand is more than the supply , it is a first come first serve thing. He will announce when he puts the few extra up for sale and the people lucky enough to catch them get them.

The rest just have to wait to catch onto the next train of preorders.

No worries, i know it sucks waiting. Took me almost two months to catch a ride on the preorders, and it is going to be another month or so before i receive it. But since nothing out there exists like this, it will be well worth the wait.

Pretty sure they blatantly copied the Gscart......as it was out long before the Hydra ;)

Price point is nice at 175, but after international shipping, it isn't much of a difference from the Gscart in price and with the Gscart there are multiple people that can vouch for its quality.

The Hydra could be junk for all we know. No offense.

I have some history with that guy :), read back this thread, I think I've posted some things regarding that.
Long story short he wanted to manufacture my switch in Europe and I was all in unloading some work from myself but when I started to ask about how am I protected (if I release gerbers / tech doc to him) he has never replied back. Initially it was supposed to be a weird Frankenstein kind-of device with two outputs and you could manually interconnect two different sources to different outputs but then I think he realized that nobody needs such thing and now it's 8:1 switch similar to what I do (yet no features, just switching). I have a rough idea how it works - there is a microcontroller which "queries" one input at a time and if it's active he forwards it, here I scrapped such design because of some flaws in that approach.
Based on his attitude I clearly see he has big ambitions on earning some dough on this. In the end investing in that laser cutting machine (~5000EUR) is serious. I personally don't think he will be able to get his investment back.
Ok, enough on this, SCART batch update:
All the case parts have been ordered, now we all are waiting for my manufacturer to manufacture and assemble the stuff.

In the meantime I was working on a different SCART switch design approach and I have that project finished. It's gonna be cheaper and it's gonna be announced this year.

Now JP21: as I don't manufacture it anymore and it was a waste of my time I'm thinking about releasing all the final GERBERS / BOM (parts list) / case drawings to general public. Everybody (savvy enough) will be able to manufacture the switch themselves. Obviously don't rely on my support, I can provide some basic troubleshooting in the form of forum replies, but that's something not guaranteed.

Does anyone have any experience with this? https://www.amazon.com/dp/B009GUQIPG/ref=cm_sw_su_dp

My goal is to simultaneously output to my Framemeister and CRT. I got that converter to try to connect the VGA output to my CRT. It doesn't seem to be working... Maybe I'm doing something wrong? After reading through this thread, I couldn't find another option for connecting to a consumer CRT. Should I try to get a scart to component converter instead? But then I would need to find a way to connect VGA to my Framemeister...

Sorry, I know this was asked a couple times before. But after doing a search, It doesn't seem like anyone actually found a solution though.
