Compiled your lists and included Before GT, GTC, GT4, TT, GTHD, GT5, GT PSP.

    EDITED: Link removed (outdated version)

Please don't distribute this file. It will grown with every addition we make, and i don't want someone to just rip this off.

Please check all info on this within your stuff, specially the game codes and release dates. It's too late and i'm too tired to check my stuff now. I'll do it this weekend. If there's anything wrong, feel free to fix it. If you have any doubts if it's a variant or now, add the same item with the different code. Also, if anything is missing please add it.

PS: I never used online spreadsheets, but if someone can help on this, editing would be easier.

Hey Ortus spent sometime today adding more stuff like GT2000 that i forgot and lots of other stuff (Play-Asia helped me with some id codes).

    Download here: http://www.easy-share.com/1907257760/GTcompiled2.rar

I never used google docs or any other online spreadsheet "thing". How can we keep it safe from wrong editing and keep each version (so we can go back if something mess things up) ?

Hey johnny, i couldn't download the last compilation. Transfering to google docs is nearly finished, i am making just some polishing. By the way the google docs keeps history for versioning purposes.

PS:link is working now. i am going to merge the list.

Still needs some polishing yes. We all (GT collectors) need to check all id codes, release dates,...

If you are going to add the diecast cars, please add on a separated sheet.

    What about duplicate additions?

collector names are in alphabetical order :icon_bigg
i have not much knowledge about die-cast, i think edward_v12 or nev can do it better. And what do you mean with "duplicate editions"?

    Looks great.

Well if someone adds one demo disc info, for example, and at the same time someone is adding the same demo disc info. Wouldn't it end being two duplicate info of the same disc?

When editing Google docs shows the other users who are also editing. When a change occurs in the document, google updates it instantly.
Now it is nearly 4:30 in the morning here, i have to sleep a little bit. Damn time differences. Tomorrow it will be ready to share the document with you. While i am sleeping, it is better send me your gmails.

What was the plan for merchandise, diecasts, posters etc?

Due to the huge amounts of it how about an area within each game area where users can upload their pics with any info they have on it. Once there is a decent amount uploaded they can then be organised into catagories.

I think we should do it this way:

Games (retail, demo disc, video demo discs), Accessories (Memory Card, Wheels), Promo stuff (Posters, Stickers, Folders, merchandise) and Diecasts

I guess the most important stuff right now it to catalog every single item with all info on id codes and release dates. Games, Demo Discs, Accessories, Merchandise,...

Then we could start writing each one differences (for example: GT3 PAL has only 2 F1 cars, Polyphony 001 and Polyphony 002 while NTSC|J and NTSC|U/C has all 6)

Hey guys, I'm available to start working on the website, I'd suggest during this week you could kind of sort out the categories, etc, as you are doing now, and next weekend I can do an all niter and upload tons of stuff.

If any of you want to talk details/suggestions or anything feel free to add me on MSN or AIM.

We could use x10hosting as a free host, it's damn good.

Well the basic layout is pratically what you posted on that "concept art"

I posted a carbon fiber background on this topic (check previous pages) that could be used as the page background.

I wonder what system you'll use to make the middle part of the main website, a.k.a. news part, and how older news will be archived. (As you can see i don't know sh*t about making websites)

And the news header could be something like this:

As for categories, your concept one is fine. For now we would only need:

    - Pre-Gran Turismo
    - Gran Turismo
    - Gran Turismo 2
    - Gran Turismo 2000
    - Gran Turismo 3
    - Gran Turismo Concept
    - Gran Turismo 4
    - Tourist Trophy
    - Gran Turismo HD
    - Gran Turismo 5
    - Gran Turismo PSP

When you select each one of those, the middle of the website changes having every game, demo, video, ... listed.

Then we could have some sorting, so we select / deselect demos, retail versions, regions.

This way all items related to Gran Turismo 3 for example, would be listed, but then you could select "Only Demos" and "NTSC|J", then the list would only show those.

I guess this would require some work on MySQL since each item would have it's own page.

I'll see what I can do, adding the carbon fiber background shouldn't be a problem, I'll see next week what I can do as for updating news, etc. I'll analyze which is the best option which can as well present a user friendly administration panel.
I'm currently with no DSL connection because my modem fried up, so I'll update on this in a week or so.

    Bumping the topic.

Are all collectors participating on the online spreasheet sharing? That would help us catalog every single item that we have.

I still need to organize my stuff. My games shelf need reorganization asap.

Tchoin, let us know any news from the web developing.
