As much as I believe you and I know this is a scam and the seller is a piece of shit, you are pretty much screwed now. Unfortunately, it is stated in the auction. Since a bid is a contract, you signed a contract where it says you pay X amount for shipping.
    Unfair, and a Scam, yes.
    Negotiable - quite unlikely.

I'd say take the negative feedback. A PS2 is not worth 140, neither is it worth 40. It's the seller's clever way of screwing customers.

Also... what has the world come to, if you cannot longer buy or sell from each other with confidence? Why is almost everybody trying to screw everybody else out of something?

I said eBay. We weren't talking about business licenses and the like. There's a very large difference.

For the record, I did look into getting a business license (wholesale), but it wasn't worth it for what I was going to do.

You, sir, are the only one getting silly here by pulling facts out of your nether regions.

I will always buy an item that offers free shipping over one that's $2 less because free shipping is the mark of the noob. they will underestimate and lose money.

I once got a cd-i dev version for $9.99 and the shipping was $5.
It cost him $17.99 to mail it to me.

Either pay him or take your non-paying bidder punishment. Maybe you'll look over them more carefully in the future :-\.
