AND Soul Edge/Blade on the PS1 was IMO far superior. The characters were better and the 'adventure mode' was more engaging. Seriously, WTF is Elvis doing in place of Li Long? Also let us not forget the legendary Khan's Super Session.
and I assume you say this with absolute certainty having in-depth experience with both? ;-) Soul Edge/Blade had quite a few differences from Soul Calibur and its sequels. The gameplay is similar, the moves might be similar, but the pacing is another story.
Of course. I own both games and gave them extensive play back in the day. Lizardman and Yoshimitsu were good additions though. I will give Namco those.
Skies or Arcadia found its way to the Gamecube. Yeah, it's a port, but a slightly enhanced one I think. Terrible game regardless. Too many random battles.
But as far as I know, even though they switched name, then Soul Blade was released on PS1 way before Soul Calibur was released for the DC right? I have both, and both great games, but to say it's first console appearance was on DC is wrond in my oppinion.
Ikaruga, 18 Wheeler, DaytonaUSA, and Seaman were ported.. they didn't have sequels on other systems, they simply were ported to Gamecube/XBLA or PC. He's asking for sequels only.
I don't think PDOrta was ever in developement for the DC, the Smilebit game that shifted from the DC to the Xbox was Gun Valkyrie. Not sure if JSRF was ever worked on on DC hardware either, I know they were talking about it before Sega threw in the towel... TJ&E3 was definitely supposed to be on DC though, I used to have videos of it running on the Dreamcast.
Soul Edge is NTSC name and Soul Blade is PAL with banned intro. Both Soul Edge/Blade and Soul Calibour are original arcade games based on PS1 hardware.
banned intro ? are we talking about the nunchaku bullshit ? that happened thanks to UKs bullshit censor laws or something completely different ?
