How to keep the 360 forum civil?

There really have been some great ideas in this thread though, but I really just think warning the trouble makers would make things better (and I'm assuming I'd be one of the first to be warned, right?)

Probably is, and just like everybody else it hasn't been signed into in over a year. If people wanted to go to that site they would, but well there isn't nearly the people there that there is here. I think I have more youtube subs then the entire member base.

I'm guessing u must be in the 5th grade then, because really your sentence is out of wack. There was nothing to joke about as far as I'm concerned. This is a serious issue for the site, the people that get banned just re-register, but they still show their true colors in the end. No matter how u clean it your ass whole still has shit inside it.

Work out the warning system and when people get banned keep them banned, if it's the same people causing problems then if they are gone for good then that would solve it.

There was a slight Database problem, yes. That was out of my control though, January 2009 was the only backup that I could find that wasn't corrupt, and it was Wedesday when I came across it, so I don't see why you have to be so defensive.

Also, don't even respond to this. I'm not trying to cause conflict. It was just a suggestion.

 

I'm pretty sure Chris meant it as a joke as far as our conversations go, and since when have you been the one to talk?

I don't see how any of this is "pointless bickering", I mean honestly.. It looks like what Gamerfreak said was a joke, and was heavily misinterpreted as not.. (Apparently a wink on the internet doesn't mean the same as real life?)

Sheesh, take chill pill Paulo. I'm not a mod, but I don't see anything that was out of line in any of the posts above.

 

This is how the majority of threads end up in the xbox forum. One person makes a small jibe at someone then they retaliate then someone else joins in and by the end of it everyone is having ago at each other and not actually solving anything.

This thread is about keeping the xbox 360 forum here and not about bickering about how forum "x" is good or not. If you want to discuss alternatives create a topic in offtopic called "xbox 360 forum alternatives" and everyone can put their two cents in.

 

Or just have the XBOX360 section without moderation and leave people attacking each other if they really want to, not really your problem if everyone wants to attack each other.

 

Yes it is. We would rather have no 360 forum then have one where people are insulting each other all day long. If you would like that then there are plenty of other xbox 360 forums out there and you should go join one of them.

 

Bad idea, we want to keep this place civil as a whole.

If we did not, it would soon spread to the other forums sections.

 

Ban people from the forum, its as easy as that, you start bickering/having hostile attitude you simply ban them from that section, otherwise it wont stop. Also ban MTWomg, I mean seriously you guys really want him back?
