User PhantasyStar is selling a Saturn memory cartridge. I hijacked the thread to talk about a custom cart sticker, and then decided to post in here on the subject.

I LOVE memory cards. I love 'em. If it was physically possible for man and machine to mate, I would probably mate with a memory card. That's actually kinda gross, so moving on...

You may notice a bias towards Sega hardware here. But I'm particularly proud of the working Neo Geo memory card on the right, which is a working JEIDA card with a fresh battery. I also own more Saturn and Sega CD carts than what's pictured, I just can't be bothered to get 'em out of the boxes.

Note the Dreamcast VMU in the upper left, which I painted in the color scheme of the old NES controller. I wasn't satisfied with doing this, largely because painting the outside obscured the lovely Dreamcast logo on the front. With this thought in mind, I started pulling VMUs apart and mixing and matching two halves of different colors. The green VMU with a white cap will have a white back, and so forth. Made it easier to distinguish between the different units when hunting down that elusive save file. That's maybe half of the VMUs I own; someone once joked to me that I have more storage in VMU form than some datacenters have in RAID arrays.

Note the Playstation One mem cards pictured here in close-up:

These stickers came out of one of the Japanese Playstation magazines. Ever since I saw these little bonus sheets I've been tirelessly hunting them down for the purpose of having distinctive memory cards. Not being an obsessive uber-otaku I've only ever managed to find two sticker sheets. The second sheet wasn't worthwhile, as the art didn't go all the way to the edge of the sticker and was mostly for games in genres I don't play. Even so, I check import store listings every day to see if back issues of Playstation Fan or Hyper Playstation have turned up that might have an elusive sticker sheet in them. It's a disturbing obsession.

I don't own a PC-Engine Ten No Koe memory bank unit, but I couldn't use one anyway as all my Turbo hardware is from the US region except for the Duo-R. Strangely, I also don't own any Xbox memory units, but as the original console could use most any flash storage through a USB-to-IDE adapter I didn't feel a real need to have one. I never did get a PocketStation, although I'll grab one sometime in the near future if the price is right. Also not pictured are the half-dozen Gamecube memory cards, which are featureless and boring.

Anyway, the rest of my game collection really isn't anything special, I just wanted to share this specific little joy. If anybody has any of those Playstation memory cart stickers that they're willing to part with, give me a holler and I'll make it worth your while.

Yeah, the Jaguar needed a save cart. How else would your progress in Baldies, Cybermorph and Highlander be recorded? :)

Yeah, but PSM's art and game choice was not inspiring, at least to me. That's as nice as I can be without starting a game region fight. :)

I am glad I found a fellow memory card maniac!!!

Kendrick, I try to make sure I have amemory card in every gc and ps2 case.

I don't have as many psone cards but it's great to see I am not the only one with the sickness. Gwahahahahaha sometimes I really love this place.

I couldn't find my psx floppy drive, it's hidden away somewhere. Nothing as nice as that Jaguar memory card! I love the card on the right, it's from EU, and
for some reason they decided to name it the "Brooklyn" card. I wonder if there's a "Teeside" memory card somewhere in the US to make the cultural exchange even.

You both miss the Playstation 10 million model silver one and the pocket station (if that counts)!
Interesting to see obsessions about memory cards though, I only have like 6 of them, and never seemed to need any more.

I'm the same way with mem cards, no matter what I like to have one if the system had one, but I don't have a lot of multiples. I have a bunch of VMU's, a 360 card, Xbox, the animal crossing and 251 GameCube, PS1 and PSOne, and I want to get a PocketStation real bad sometime. It would also be cool to have the Saturn/Sega CD card.

As stated. FYI, most of my Playstation memory cards came from stores that were getting out of the business of selling game hardware and were letting those things go for fifty cents a piece. Also, I used to frequent the pawn shops a lot, and they tend to have memory cards in a basket full of miscellaneous gaming gear that they can't get rid of.

I don't actually use all the Playstation cards; maybe six or seven of them actually have content. All my PS2 cards and my VMUs are full though, strangely enough.

Me 4. Something pretty funny, my girlfriend has a cheapo MAd Catz memory card, and has used it for years. Well, for some reason PS2's say it's a pocketstation. I don't have a clue why, but I think it was FF8's fault.
