God damn, I hate Itunes. I hate it I hate it I hate it. I hate it so much, I am going to write a poem about it.

    Itunes, Itunes,
    I fucking hate it
    I hate it so much,
I'm going to beat it with a stick

I'm going to kick it in the nuts
and shoot it in the head
then run it over with a ice cream truck,
over and over, and over again

    It's such an overbloated
    slow-ass piece of shit,
and everyone who works for Apple,
    can suck my fucking dick

    Why's it take three hours,
    To download and install?
Why's it then set it self as the default media player, even when I select "no,"
and hold my computer in it's Thrall?

Why is it when I select "Paypal" as payment option,
    IT DOESN'T FUCKING WORK!
    What the fuck Steve Jobs?
Fix your shitty program you fucking JERK!

Fuck Apple and it's shitty DRM format
    and fuck Steve Jobs
and fuck all the stupid people
    with their stupid fucking Ipods

    The End

You could use a apple drm stripper and move to an itunes replacement.

You using it on windows or Mac?

I personally love iTunes but the windows version is pure 100% shit in every sense of the word.

I like your poem, very nice. I rely on Apple to survive but I'll let it slide for now.

+1 on Hawanja's post. I also hate that you need itunes to put songs on your Ipod, which is why I stopped using my Ipod as an mp3-player and now only use it as a portable 30 GB HDD.

There are unofficial solutions for a lot of the iPods out there.

    Poem? Isn't it a Haiku?

iTunes blows, on the PC at least (never tried other versions).

Anything that doesn't have proper shell integration and requires custom applications (I am looking at you development kits) is a pain in the ass most often.

Indeed, I love my MP3 player as I just need to take out the SD Card, whack into laptop, copy file, remove SD card, put into MP3 player and then er play. Even an Ipod with the Itune replacement programs they are still a pain and always take a few minutes longer to copy a single file... I have an Ipod and have rarely used it...

Pity that Rockbox doesn't work on the more modern Ipods and it only preforms well on about 4 of the models with the others having other problems. Being open source means that waiting for things to be fixed or improved is slow, bitty and buggy...

AFAIK Songbird has Ipod support by default.

I now only use winamp for managing my shuffle. It's a simple case of plug in the Ipod into the dock, open winamp, select songs i want from the library and then drag them over to my Ipod.

It actually is as simple as using a drag and drop style mp3 player except doing it through a program rather than windows explorer.

The rhyme scheme was perhaps a bit lacking but I'm totally on board with the sentiment. I once had an iPod and once was more than enough for that very reason. When it finally iBroke due to the shoddy iConstruction of the iTouchwheel, iSwitched to a Creative Zen which you could manage using nothing more than good old Windows Explorer. Done and done.

I use a mix of iTunes and Winamp. Can't quite get my head around Winamp though after using iTunes for years, and its annoying that Winamp visualisation can't go fullscreen on a secondary monitor. iTunes is slow as though, especially now that there is 200gb+ of music loaded into it.

I don't like iTunes, but I am using the OS X version and it's okay for listening. Never want to buy anything though as I can't stand paying for downloads, so I can't comment on that.

What I think is the most interesting part about it are for instance the video podcasts or university readings you can find there. I.e. whole semesters of certain subjects at participating colleges can be downloaded and followed for free.

You and me both, man. No one else understands my blinding hatred for the pile of shit that is iTunes for Windows. The Mac version does nothing about the interface, but at least it's functional.

For some reason, ~30% of whatever I try to transfer to my iPod touch refuses to import itself in my iTunes library. They're fucking MP3s; I don't get what's so difficult about moving them over. Foobar2000 doesn't have any problems, but then again it's not a heaping pile of shit and actually does what it's supposed to do.

iTunes sucks balls, but you need it if you have an iPhone. Amarok is the bees knees.

All computers with iTunes installed along with iPods and iPhones should be gathered together in a big pile in each city all over the world and they should be set on fire as the human race rejoices and holds hands as they rid the world of the greatest of all evils.
    Fucking iTunes
