That is actually incomplete. The food chain does not stop at the human :110: Otherwise it wouldn't be called a chain? get it? Our digested food turns into bacteria which in turn makes for new plants and algae. These can be eaten for example by insects or small fish. Which in turn are eaten by bigger animals. You can make a similiar food chain for other dominant species like sharks or eagles.
We evolved from basic primates because we ate meat. Our brains developed further once we cooked meat. People should take whatever path they choose, but to say mankind is not designed to eat meat is a lie. We are omnivores by nature. Bullshit. The egg hatches to become another chicken if you didn't eat it. Vegans shouldn't eat eggs, if they are so called Vegans.
The "chain" is from a Simpsons Episode where they make fun of vegans and they that cows go to "cow academy" to be processed.
Do you have any facts to back this up? Compared to chimps and other monkey like creatures our brain is bigger as our jaw muscles are less developed, however I've not seen any evidence that it was because we started to eat meat. You really should talk to your parents about the birds and the bees. Unless there is a male chicken around, then the eggs are unfertilised and won't grow into anything... Does you mother have a baby just because she has a period?
You need to use either home made peanut butter (need a blender, some spanish peanuts and a little olive oil) or a pure peanut butter. Some health food shops have a large machine that makes peanut butter from just peanuts, so you are getting more peanuts and therefore more protein. Most commercial peanut butters have about 1 cupAdd two slices of whole grain bread (3g of protein each slice) and you are heading for around 20g+ of protein.... It also has less harmful fats too. A mcmurder hamburger has only 14g of protein...
I can say anything has more protein than something else if I do whatever portion I want. You're saying an all natural, huge peanut butter sandwich has more protein than the smallest hamburger on the menu, made with the worst meat commercially available. I'm not saying hamburgers are better for you, or morally superior. You just can't deny there's more protein there. Also, vegans don't eat eggs. Eggs, fertilized or not, are animal products. The difference between a vegan and a vegetarian is vegans don't eat any animal products. (Milk, honey, eggs). http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/vegan http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Donald_Watson
Yeah, I'd assume the reason for being vegan would be to not touch anything animal related, and there's much to complain about when it comes to the treatment of animals raised for their... outputs.
Source: http://www.bbc.co.uk/sn/prehistoric_life/human/human_evolution/food_for_thought1.shtml Source: http://berkeley.edu/news/media/releases/99legacy/6-14-1999a.html It's not the same thing though, is it? Vegans don't eat eggs because they are an animal product and because they come from the domestication of chickens. If you didn't separate the hens from the rooster, they'd lay fertilized eggs, which would grow into chickens. Our domestication prevents it.
vegans don't eat or use any thing from an animal. They don't use any dairy, or fabrics from animals, or even grease or eggs.
I'm in the same boat. I like to call myself a Meatatarian. =P Honestly even though I know I should eat them to be more healthy the taste of many vegetables just make me feel incredibly sick to my stomach.
I m the only person I know who detests fruits. I mean my mouth gets all sour and my stomach hurts the moment I touch an orange. I also can't do much sugar either, which means that i don't like bread and I don't like the taste of alcohol with a passion.
I love fruits! I'm vegetarian for about 6 years and my diet consists of vegetables, fruits and soya derivated things. I also eat egg and milk derivated food but not everyday. Here in Brazil, we can buy vegetables and fruits everywhere. It's well acessible and cheap. To cook and eat at home it's not expensive, but to eat at restaurants, it's too expensive, and we don't have many vegetarian restaurants arround. How expensive is to be a vegetarian/vegan arround the world?
In the UK it's either expensive or crap vegetarian food, I actually enjoy non-meat meals, but it's so much easier to just buy a cheap (but still good) meat-based meal.
