The sure fire way to break a vegan is to cook bacon when they are around.

    BACON

I'm sure I'll have bacon cravings in the future. I mean, a bacon double cheeseburger was a pretty standard meal for me.

Yeah, I hella eat me some jello when I can't stomache anything else.

I've been getting a bit concerned lately. I think it's just a lot of shitty stress, but generally I haven't been feeling great lately and many times when I do eat, I puke it back up shortly after, or at the very least feel quite sick for a little while.
I hope it's just psychological and not diet-related, because I don't want to have to make any changes right now.

@lllsondowlll: Yep, that's the place. Don't tell me you're my neighbor or something weird....!?

It's not a bad idea to eat more healthy. There is nothing unhealthy about eating meat. But if you eat 90% meat that's not good for you. I do think never eating any meat is probably unhealthy. Just like never eating any vegetables is unhealthy. You should eat meat in moderation like anything else.

I eat meat and I know exactly what it is. I hold no illusions that it is not tissue of a dead animal. Really that never put me off from eating it. Actually I'm guilty of messing with people who aren't as comfortable with it by making comments like, mmmm this hunk of dead cow tastes delicious. It's just a fact of life. Too bad if it bothers you so much that you don't eat meat, as I said you should eat meat you just shouldn't eat fast food crap or an amount of meat that is unbalanced to the rest of your diet.

Holy hell, right on the money. I was at a bud's house last night (which was fucking boring btw) and he busted out bacon.

The weird thing about bacon is that... I think it's REALLY SUPER MEGA ULTRA appetising when it's raw, and just "pretty damn good" when it's cooked.
That's not to say I've ever eaten raw bacon. No. It just looks crazy good, IMO.

I ended up having blank white rice with french fried onions sprinkled on top. It was so fail, lol.

I live in the same city. I live by North High. As long as your not venomous fire from se7ensins or something who attempted to steal all my info on console modification research and proto's then we shouldn't have a problem lol. Yeah dude I live in the same frozen shithole as you.

What bugs me most about when people do stuff like that is they act like it's clever or novel.

    After 3 days?

I have to say, if someone stops eating meat for moral/ethical reasons then they should go full vegan. Otherwise they're kind of living a lie.

I respect either opinion myself, so long as they don't try to convert me from my choice. I do think we are designed to eat meat and it is the healthiest way, but I try to eat meat that is organic and from animals that are fairly treated.

Yeah, weird, I know. I did leave out the fact I spent most of that time in meditation.

And as for going full vegan or "living a lie" the world isn't in black and white. It's about reducing harm.

Nah, it really isn't. So long as you get your necessities elsewhere. There's plenty to back this up elsewhere.

That's a very narrow view - it's a sliding scale, regardless of where you are on it. Personally I think it's immoral to eat meat unless you are prepared to, and preferably have, killed it yourself (I eat all kinds of meat). My mum eats fish but doesn't eat white or red meat. My sister won't eat any meat as she's uncomfortable with having something killed for her food. I have a vegan friend who won't eat honey. Beyond that you could make the case that yoghurt is imprisonment for yeast... Wherever you stand there's not a simple moral catch-all, "vegan" or "vegetarian" or whatever.

Personally I can't fathom the vegan standpoint, but I try to respect it anyway, and I do understand vegetarians. I'm just prepared to kill something for a meal. It's all down to the individual.

If I was worried about yeast, I couldn't drink beer. And that's just not going to happen.

And, just because something is a sliding scale doesn't mean you should give up and resign to one end. It means you have the lucky opportunity to pick wherever you want to be on it.

More power to you if you can do it. Just be sure to supplement the lack of meats and their nutrients with something else

How many carnivorous animals have teeth like homo sapiens?

    That's b/c of the environment we've created.
