It can be any existing prototype/unreleased game. Pictures are welcome. I would like to see the prototype version of Super Mario World, on the Super Famicom, with Raccoon Mario. Scans courtesy of Chris Covell: http://disgruntleddesigner.com/chrisc/secrets11.html
Final Fantasy VII proto, as featured on the 'making of' video, found on the perfect guide in FFVII international. http://youtube.com/watch?v=YIu2eDkZraA
Not strictly a prototype but a alpha/beta the ecco 2 code that was being flaunted by the seller of a katana in hungary. I think everyone wants that disc.
You do realise the prototype of what later became Shenmue on the Dreamcast is barely playable in its Saturn guise, with the exception of a few linear areas such as hotel corridors and the tree-lined Guilin footpath QTEs? I presume the fighting engine was advanced to the point of being playable, along with that section where Ryo clearly opens a trapdoor in the garden to access the basement - which in the final version became moved to under the dojo - with a tap of B (according to the debug information shown in the video footage, at least). There's no denying it would be great to have this, but since very little was changed for the retail version I'd rather we got something more radically different from what you can find on the shelf. Without a doubt, that rules out all possibilities with the exception of one: Biohazard/Resident Evil 1.5!
Ah, Dinosaur Planet... I don't ever remember if that was even leaked out at one time. Maybe there's a chance of a flash cart floating around with it? Probably not, RARE was tight with security.
Yeh I really can't be that excited about saturn shenmue. Because the game was just so perfect when it was released. I perfer games like Dinosaur Planet, RE 1.5 because they were in a very far-along state and are games that are purely unreleased yet far-along in development. Dino Planet being almost finished if I remeber correctly As for EB64 a playable demo was availible at various game shows. So I definitely want to try that out. Or anything out.
i ll do my best for mother 3.5 (or was it mother3?) anything related to that game and its expansion are musts. if we re talking utopicly.. conker twelve tales, since it was done and a bit debugged too. Rare security is very professional however, so no real hope
Any sort of Halo prototype would be sweet. Versions I can think of are Halo RTS Whish is Halos first version which was going to be released exclusive for the mac at the time. It is unknown how far this got but it looks like in the picture this is it. Also this is when the team was spread out in different locations and some say at Bungie that theres still people out there working on this Of course when they showed this picture it was years ago. Halo 3rd person Again would be nice to own Halo E3 Version This was Halo when it was shown at E3 and as you can see theres many differences from the final game also the shadow was in this version. Halo 2 Beta This would be amazing to own having access to what once was Halo 2 befor eit was stripped. So many things taken out :crying: Halo 3 Alpha-Beta Having access to the dairly updates would be amazing. If theres any Alpha versions out there like this I would kill to have it. If it had to be anything else I would say Saturn Shenmue, Conker Twelve Tails, Dinosaur planet, EB64, RE 1.5 or any of the Resident Evil 4 protos
Phantasy Star IV with 3D dungeons! Or a PSO beta! Or a very early Sonic 1 with flying sourcers/black sky in green hill! Oh! Can't pick just one
Super Monkey Ball (DC). If it ever existed.. Having said that..there's far too many others I'd like to see..
re1.5 is up there. As are some m2 games. But I'm more interested in Protos with no known, or little known media out there, as with Diablo. Though, a nice FFXI beta with different monsters and capes would be nice, as would a Need for Speed Motor City or single player Motor City Online would be on the top of the list. Oh, and Stargate: The Alliance.
RE0 N64. Point. And maybe the Shadowgate 64 sequel..if there was one at all..I think I heard something about it.
Biohazard 1.5. I remembering seeing the video for it in the Playstation Underground demo CD and I was floored. Of course, when the real RE2 came out, I noticed the differences right away. As a fan of the series, I'd love to see 'what could have been.'
