I believe in this very thread. I remember the photo of the disc very well. It was even badly translated if I remember correctly.

 

Ummm that was definitely NOT the same disc.
The scammer was some guy in Australia who said the disc was damaged and might not work.
THIS item is in the US, being sold as a lot with other beta ps2 games.

 

There were many "auctions" held in the past, all up until now were certified as fakes. I am certain that I've seen that picture before, either here or on one of the dedicated Residen Evil sites. ;-)

The real deal will be released soon.

 

I saw on that Horror site that supposedly someone's releasing the vanilla build of the version that team is working on? No one says where this was announced or anything, though. Seems to riling some people up despite the fact that earlier mod of it was already released, which AFAIK was like the exact same thing. Not sure what the big deal is.

I registered here, because it was fun to talk and speculate about this lost game. And my interest in it has been significantly lowered to the point of nothingness because of the annoying and treacherous people involved. The fake auctions, the fake owners, and the rest who want to be credited for nothing.

 

Have you actually seen the auction? It isn't just 1.5 that's included, yeah the.seller probably burned a copy himself but he isn't Colvin bad here, he's at least selling genuine dev equipment with it, the TEST PS2. You know someone should start a soap opera based on the RE community, so much drama and lengthy 'confessions' with dramatic exists and reappearances. That post didn't really say anythingssomeone with a brain couldn't have already figured out had they been paying attention instead of being more concerned with who has the largest e-penis in the community.

I'm skeptical, but it looks like the real deal. Only time will tell though.

That's a modern printable surface Verbatim disc. Clearly someone's replica. Verbatim didn't produce discs like that one in the auction photo in the 90s (+Verbatim discs were so expensive in the 90s that no one really used them for use and toss purposes like daily builds and such)

 

Hell, if I could get 400$ for a TEST PS2 just by including a burnt copy of 1.5, I've got a TEST PS2 for sale then

its like goromacida playing around with the build for publicity for themselves, it's like that! it's always been like that.

 

I got a response from the seller before he pulled the auction. For those of you who don't know, another proto auction poped up featuring the released WIP build. The seller pulled it not long after he listed it but kinda blew off my message to him.

It's not funny to me. What f he hadn't had pulled it in time and someone bid on it?

 

Their progress is just outstanding! I really hope this gets released this year.

It would be awesome to have another Resident Evil to be played this Halloween.
