    Nooooo problemo!

Well i've been looking around at European sites all day hoping to find a lead, and so far, absolutely nothing. :banghead:

There has to be a lead besides that Wacko at the FakeStationMuseum. Maybe a reeeeeeeeally underground site. Hmm. :gravedigging:

It's really not worth the trouble, if anyone has a prototype they'd know where to go if they were making it public, you aren't just gonna come across a deep hidden underground site with a guy flaunting off his ownership of a prototype.

It's from one of the interviews. I believe they stated that the FMV had been completed and then they had to scrap most of it and redo it because it no longer fit with how the game began and the other scenes. But they probably recycled some things in retail. One of the buildings in the retail intro looks very similar to a building that can be seen from the helipad in 1.5. Also if you look closely, Leon's model in the retail intro still has the knife on his hip from 1.5. Probably re-used his model and forgot to remove it when they made the final render for the retail fmv.

The image from that Bioflames sig of mine is a remake made by c2keo. Comes from this Inflames image.

It's in the RPD, supposedly on the 2nd floor.

The videos with the mixed 1.5 and RE2 retail early footage came from E3 1997 I believe. 1.5 was scrapped months before this - so why they chose to have 1.5 footage mixed in is very odd. There's probably some info from that E3 that explains it that we don't have. Who knows.

As for "beta 1", besides some legit press video footage of some old builds, there is no real "beta 1". The term came about after the retail BH2 beta was leaked (the one now known as "beta 2") and someone came forward with some low quality images supposedly taken from Bleem that he claimed was an earlier build. People then tagged them betas 1 and 2. However, a few years ago, those images were determined to be fake under renewed scrutiny, and I -think- someone even came forward and provided the unedited hq versions and admitted to having faked them. Not sure on the details as it's been a while since then, but there probably is no "beta 1" in the wild. Supposedly there is a slightly earlier, more complete, version of "beta 2" with the full debug menu unlocked and working and Claire playable. But the supposed owner that had it a few years ago never concretely proved it, and unfortunately now the RE2 modding scene has created tools/codes/hacks and enough capability that such a build is easily faked and unfortunately there are fake builds of "beta 2" with debug unlocked and other minor, easy to hack changes that have been sold/passed around lately to the point where finding a legitimate one is very unlikely (if one even exists).

The item list came from Curator. It was given privately to Dot50Cal and after Dot50 gave Curator the translations and other requested help/information, Curator then broke relations off with Dot50Cal for reasons that really weren't Dot50's fault or business, which pissed him off and he released the item list publicly to spite Curator.

As a note, the item "Net" in the item list is incorrectly translated. It's actually a Nut (as in, nuts and bolts kinda nut). The HL2K NC51 is either a screwup on Capcom's part or intentional, as the weapon they are going for is an MC51 which is not an H&K product.

    Amongst the weapons? :p

The cool Hand Grenade can also be seen in action in footage that takes place in the sewer i believe.

Hmm but the question is, did these FMVs actually get sorted and pressed into the final build of the game before it was scrapped... Or are they just stating the FMVs were fully developed, but was canned before actually making it onto a build?... So many questions unanswered.

I wonder if there was a S.T.A.R.S. office in the 1.5 R.P.D. What did it look like? = /

I remembered that in leon intro, you can hear a beta zombie groan at 1:29, and leon looks like a bit different from the ending cutscene, his mouth looks like lacking animations details and his face looks a bit different when he says -what we got here?.

The Simon Wai sonic 2 prototype?:p although granted the guy wasn't flaunting it, but thats how I think we are going to come across 1.5, some shonky asian website that offers pirate downloads and doesn't actually know what it has.

Well, Simon Wai's discovery is kind of a different case. That actually got pirated onto cartridge and distributed on floppys with other roms with Super Magic Drive systems, so it was only a matter of time it made it onto the net. RE 1.5 as far as I know hasn't gotten into the hands of pirates and is being distributed, unless it just hasn't been discovered yet. Discoveries like that are possible, but I wouldn't bet on it for this game =p

This reminds me of how supposedly there's a pirate of Clayfighter Extreme on PSX pirated in Asia supposedly, but no proof of that's come up so far.

    "This was not Resident Evil"

It is believed to be 1.5's item box.

I see, that does indeed make sense. Thanks.

It's not surprisingly absent in the 2nd era build...

It most certainly has item boxes, otherwise where do you plan on storing all the stuff you picked up throughout the game? Also, computers supposedly replaced the typewriter from RE1. There's a lot of computer screen close-ups in the backgrounds ripped from the trial. It fits with the modern theme in 1.5 :)

I remember reading some where that they were going to keep item boxes out of the game... I forget where i read that... Look at RE0.... You can leave items anywhere in any room. There are many ways no item boxes could have worked.
