So how much is such a copy worth these days?
I mean from a realistic point of view.

And is somebody actually able to get his hands on a copy ? Is there any (realistic) amount of money we could make by donations, to draw a sellers attention?

    Regards,
    iCEQB

The question of worth is completely subjective. As for how much it will cost to be obtain it's impossible to know as it depends completely on the source. BH 1.5 has traded hands for a relatively small amount in the past and may do so again, though it's quite unlikely.

There are two problems with donations, firstly people are often happy to promise to provide x amount but are far less forthcoming when it comes to sending the cash. Secondly, if the amount raised by the community became public knowledge then it could lead to an increase in the price.

I made a thread on Lost Levels couple of months ago, pointing to a potential source who i found while browsing Capcom's official forum.

I got a question for the people @ Bioflames : Might there be any actual legitimacy to this? I thought there was, but now i'm not sure anymore...

this is easy to fake but if not its curator again or another person who think he/she is the greatest guy/girl on earth. unfortunately, we had another foolish fake a month ago on assembler.

O yes. The impression i got is that the people who are claiming to have it, are just like vampires, looking for the attention of many people.

However, the last screenshot cannot be taken from...

It's not from the magazine, it's from the original Playstation Museum video. Shows the menu and the character select screen in action.

That PSM story (the real horror one) never seems to end. Thanks for replying though, clearing things up.

it was a hoax, it showed up here too, the guy got mad refused to show evidence it was real, and then disappeared.

    EDIT:
    here's the thread
    http://www.assemblergames.com/forums/showthread.php?t=33462
there's a lot of pages, but if you skim through it you'll see why it was taken down early and why there hasn't been much on it since.

I don't care if the meaning of life itself was contained on that disc - no developer would ever go to such lengths and create quite an elaborate label. From what I've seen in the past, some don't even bother writing down a title, usually just putting on a revision number or burn date. However, there are a few worthwhile prototypes (mostly late betas or review copies of unreleased games) that have machine printed labels, but never anything like that blatantly hoaxed effort!

Well, the Japanese on the disc makes no sense, and even though Capcom is written incorrectly, the guy transcribed what he "thought" it said while claiming to not know a thing about Japanese, and magically corrected the error. He offered no explanation, so his assuming no one else would catch on to that simple fact alone shows how much of a fake it was.

I was still willing to give him a chance in explaining. Funny how he's got a kid and his info is all over the net. You'd think someone at his stage in life would be more mature :x

I did some (very) light googling to see what would turn up but, I guess SAMCRO is an acronym for sons of anarchy in some way so yup.

Hehe. It's incredible to how much length these impostors will go. They are so absorbed in their own lies, that they start believing in them at some point. Does somebody know how many of these hoaxes appeared up until now? =)

That link to the hoax thread is pretty funny. I felt like playing a Phoenix Wright game reading through his contradictions

"Well i got the second disk to almost work, its a text document titled " Sir Clive Sinclair, Thank-you" but it wont open on the mac"

OBJECTION! How do you know its a text document if it won't open on the mac? And a Mac would be able to recognize a text document instantly using Simple Text!
