Why do people still care about this anymore. Like I get it's a popular device, but who legitimately cares enough anymore? It's the same every time. It will not be on latest hardware. It will have some gimmick to it. It will have multiple versions. It will be overpriced to no end. It will try and do the whole "simplicity" kind of thing again. It will probably not use the protruding camera. I believe they learned their lesson It will probably not be as thin as the 6, because they learned their lesson after failing basic engineering (too thin aluminum, its soft, bends easy, they clearly didn't test it enough and just wanted it thin for cost preserving reasons) It will have its various colours. White, Black, Gold, Rosegold (unless they drop that dumb colour - I hope they do) It will have an iOS version that old phones struggle to deal with - causing slowdown until you buy the new one It will have people lining up outside the store for a pathetic device that only has a name attached to sell it. Every time its the same, everyone eats it up, clickbait everywhere, lies and clear fakes that people assume MIST BE REAL BECAUSE PHOTO WHOA, people losing their minds at outdated tech only because its Apple. I can keep going if needed. Every year its the same and I just don't see how people even have the ability to care anymore. Just buy an android device from the modern day and you'll get more power, less gimmicks, bigger screen (the whole iPhone with bigger screen was an absolute joke and you all know this) and an overall cheaper and better experience without needing to show off your NEW IPHONE.
Eh, if I needed a new phone I would probably pick one up don't really care though until my current phone (iphone 6) stops working.
My opinion is - Apple needs to stop, but people eat that up so much that they couldn't stop even if they tried.
Its a lightening to 3.5 adapter. the headphones themselves are lightening. so you wouldnt even have the adapter you actually need to use any headphones.
Where in the hell do you apple people keep all your adapters? You guys must need like a fanny pack or something if you take your phone AND your macbook somewhere. Seriously though, not hating or anything, this was typed on a MBP, just refuse to buy something that needs adapters for basic functionality.
But I already do think that way. I know Apple only families (that have 360s?) that know they're buying bad devices, but at least they have a good reason for it on the Desktop side. They recently switched to android and they openly told me how much sooner they would have changed if they had been open to trying an android device.
It's a shame you're having so much troubles with the Note 7, it looks like an awesome phone. I was thinking about getting an S7, just for size reasons. Never had a Samsung phone before though..
Androids are generally just low quality devices though. If they didn't feel like they were going to break if I held them too tight, and the OS wasn't so laggy all the time, then I'd buy an android instead of an iPhone. That being said, I won't be upgrading this time. I'm fine with a 6S or a 6S+.
And thus higher battery consumption. NFC was a pretty huge gimmick until service providers (banks etc) got behind it. Fingerprint readers where you slide you finger over it were a pretty big gimmick. Galaxy Edge? The whole phone is a gimmick! If you want to talk gimmicks, the Korean and Chinese brands are the kings of it. Screen size is entirely user preference. I know people that have gone away from Samsung/HTC to lesser known brands because the majors keep harping on bigger. For someone complaining about people caring, you seem to care an awful lot! Brands have fans. That's how they work. The nerd brigade gets pretty amped up when a new Android version drops, and rush like antelope to Xda-developers to shoehorn an unstable community-built ROM into their device, just so they can update their forum signature and demonstrate to their peers that they're running "the latest". It's really no different whatsoever. You think Apple owners are vocal about their choices? Ask a bunch of geeks what phone they have. You don't get "I have an SGS7." you get "I have an SGS7 3D HD 4G running Cyanogen 5 with a custom brainfuck kernel and tweaked shadowdick launcher with 8 different RAM, battery, and CPU gauges." Apple owners aren't terrible. Android owners aren't terrible. People are just terrible.
Youve clearly never found a good Android device then. Theres tons of them, but you have to know where to look. Once you can stop using stock stuff you're set. Here's one you can look at if you want that Apple feeling - minus the Apple part https://oneplus.net I know multiple owners of these. They have 0 complaints. I'm so sick of news stories showing up most. The moment after the iPhone 6 released we already had "rumors" of the 7 being made. I just want to stop hearing about the newest Apple devices because every time I do it's always about something only the simple minded and tech inept will enjoy. I dont care what brand of device people use, but I just don't want to hear about it. It's like PC stuff. I don't care about your specs. I care if you can do something with it. If I need something to be done that some system cant allow without SU access or jailbreaking then I just look elsewhere. Functionality first, looks second
Better get off the Internet then! It may surprise you to know that most people who use phones are probably what you'd call "tech inept". So it's no surprise that a phone that caters specifically to them would be popular, and get a lot of press. And that's entirely your prerogative, to find a device that suits you and the tasks you want to accomplish. If that means you look elsewhere, that's fine, but there are more people using the Internet and watching TV than you.
