From my experience working at Toys R Us, this is probably true. I remember that any toy that we had that was the hot item that year and always sold out as soon as we got them in (from PS2's to Furbys) would always be in stock for Black Friday. Sometimes we'd stock pile the things for a couple days and sometimes a shipment would show up Wednesday night, but we had to have some in stock because they were almost always in the ad that went out Friday morning.
The Best Buy was so packed over here today. Target had plenty in stock, which was suprising. You failed...
Oh god, brings back memories of back in the when those "Tickle Me Elmo" toys came out. I was in Toys R' Us at the time checking out some of the new games they had in and these two women got in a fight over the last Elmo. After about 5 minutes of pushing and shoving, the one lost and ended up on the ground getting stomped on by the other. Hen fights are hillarious, I'm glad I got to see a good one like that, but it's a real shame that people get that worked up over a stupid toy.
Someone up in DC got seriously injured in a fight over one, much like the robbery in VA. It sucks that people are like this. Everyone here is crazy, I swear.
There was another incident here in Georgia. Seems like the XBOX 360 is making news around the nation other than its sales. That's not cool man.
Hey The VGM, guess what? Quit being a dick! In all seriousness, knock it off. You're turning into one of our regular forum trolls, and that's neither wanted nor needed here. If you at all value being a part of this community, then quit acting like such a jerk and contribute something useful. If not, we'd be more than help you get started to where ever it is you're going from here, if you take my meaning.
