Does MNEMO's device still have the plane a- z folders GUI or has it updated? Also, can some of you out there mention some compatible USB Flash Drives and USB Hard Drive models that are at least 512GB - 1TB and are compatible with MNEMO's device? I am thinking of ordering one. Lastly, is there anyone that can name some good SD card that is at least 512GB (Fat32 friendly ofcourse) and is working on the GDEMU?

Hello. Sorry im new here I have a couple quick questions about the newest sd card maker.

I keep getting an error. When i try to add for example a batch of 5 games hit save and then when it finishes add another batch of 5 games I get a folder f:\04 (it can be any number) missing error when i press save and it cant proceed. So i check my sd card in windows explorer and about 10 folders will be renamed f:\04_ (an example) with underscores after them. So i delete the underscores and then it works again. I have to do this quite often.

I was also wondering will future versions of sd card maker have an option to rearrange ur games alphabetically? I know u can manually adjust using the arrows but that seems very time consuming.

Id paypal the creator $10 if he can implement that lol

I know u can sort by name but i cant seem to get it to save.

You can have any folder structure you want.
I've used Seagate 1 and 2 TB USB3 disks, powerered by the USB port, without problems. Never had any problems with anything I've plugged in to it actually. One really old USB stick loaded the games very slow, thats about it.

 

Hey guys,

I downloaded the 90 minute Shenmue Undub, which are .mdf files. Obviously, the USB adapter doesn't play these file types and based on what I've seen, the max file size of CDI wouldn't allow to convert the full .mdf file? So, I tried several programs to convert it to an ISO, and every time the ISO file is smaller and doesn't boot on the Dreamcast. Any ideas?

 

ISO won't work. Cdi is fine, allow overburn/oversize in discjuggler when doing the image of the mounted mdf.

 

Need more info to reproduce the bug also what windows version are you using?

 

Thank you for the info-- I tried doing it and it still didn't boot. The CDI is still smaller than the MDF as well. Is there a setting I missed?

 

I am using windows 7 64 bit.
I'll try to add more info on the error message next time i encounter it.

 

do you have any particular antivirus or any program that locks the SDCARD? also the shorting works ok if you short the games then press the save button and it will work.

I use avast antivirus. The error i get is folder not found f:\04 (or any number)

It seems like when u hit save the program tenporarily puts an underscore after the number till it rearranges things but for some reason doesnt rename them back when i get that error.

Ill try disabling the antivirus see if that works.

Also to those still wondering which card to get I have found that this 256GB SD card works good when formatted in FAT32 to work with the GDEMU with no issues.

To be clear, you tried 512GB SD cards that didn't work with GD-EMU or you have still to find one at all?

I have tried a Samsung brand Micro SD with an SD adapter and it didn't work. I bought it from "Ali express", hoping it might but it would only copy up to 9-10 folders of games and then give me an error. I believe it is due to to the force FAT32 format I did using GUIFORMAT. Otherwise, I couldn't get windows or any other formatting program to format it to FAT32 or it was just unrecognizable. Although with NTFS and exFat seem to be working fine.

400 Bones is a bit over my budget so I guess I'll just have to wait until the price drops and I find someone who confirms the 512GB to work so I know when I decide to buy it in the future.

I disabled my antivirus as well.
