Could this really be the one? I hope so for all the donators sake. I can imagine you and others are especially disappointed at how many places you have had to go to to get this attempted. I can be patient though, I have been waiting for Shenmue 3 for over 10 years, so this shouldn't be NEARLY as excruciating of a wait lol.

Ain't nothin' but a thing.

I bet she'd be a bit more amicable if you showed a little leg.

Why exactly was it denied before? Something to do with the format? Or were there copyright issues involved?

Not trying to be pessimistic, but after how many tries of getting this made are you going to give up? Seriously though, I am still optimistic about this, and will definitely buy the second print run if and when it ever comes, but the way I see it, Assembler got in way too deep over his head here if absolutely nobody will print a "Pirate" copy of an unreleased game for collectors.

At this point, do we really think anybody is going to grant us a production run after over a half a year of trying?

If you really think you are going to get this done, you REALLY need to stop looking in the USA if that is where you are looking. You all know damn well and good how this country is on copyright infringement.

If I was going to take a gander at what the best countries would be to get this thing printed, it would absolutely be China, or Russia, or hell, even Brazil for that matter. Those countries are way more relaxed about infringement laws over any North American or European, or former English colony countries.

Sorry if I pissed off or offended anybody, just saying what everybody already has on their minds.

If this doesn't work out, how do you all even expect Assembler to be able to pay back all the money due to all the pre-orders anyway?

I know you will all say Paypal, but didn't he already pay for the gaming PC that was used to let others try to hack the game remotely under his watchful eye?

50 x 100, sounds like a hell of a lot of money to have to pay back if this don't work out, so I can see why he keeps trying to get them printed, it will cost less and be less of a hassle in the end.

Again, not intending to piss off or alarm anybody, just extremely curious as to what is plan B and C.

If the worst comes to the worst I'll be happy with just a Gold CDR. I paid my part because i have always wanted this game since day 1. I didn't pay because I wanted a pressed disc, that was just a very nice bonus.

Same goes for me. I just wanted to see the game available knowing I had contributed to its release. Assemblers offer of the disc for those who stumped up some cash was just a cool thing to do.

I hope it can be printed but if not its not the end of the world.

In the worst case it could be made on medical quality CD-Rs, there are some which are certified to hold the data for 30years+ and are not "that" expensive. Plus, some of them are printable, I am sure there are trustworthy people in the community who could help with such a last resort fabrication effort.

The problem with having it done overseas is the shipping would probably be prohibitively expensive.

Maybe if after this its still refused it would be time for assembler to cut his losses. Why not just release a torrent or a ftp for the donators. In the end I understand a physical copy is pretty and a cool bonus, but it was just that a bonus. If it cant be done why not just release it already? If not maybe like other members are saying for the alternative ,cd-rs.Dont mean to upset anyone but I mean its been a long while.

If everyone's fine with having shipped a normal CD-R I think it would be the best solution because in the end all who donated will have the game first anyways.

maybe release the download now and then take the time for the press ver?

I can wait longer never had an issue with the pier solar delays.....was well worth it.
Its like a nice tease :) something to keep looking forward to.

My money was to support any public release the press was the icing on the cake,

I guess I can see overseas shipping being a big problem if he took that route.

Those medical grade discs sound awesome though, maybe somebody could help burn them at their homes and send them along with high quality printed covers in a jewel case and if wose comes to worse, it doesn't have to be shrink wrapped really does it?
