A new year calls for a new thread. Tons and tons of amazing pictures last year: Member Photography 2010 Feel free to post some (moderately) size pictures and links to larger versions if you'd like. Please try and remember that some people, myself included, like to view on mobile connections from time to time. ____________________________ I have new pictures coming shortly Just got a 430ex ii flash and the Canon 100mm macro lens, along with a bunch of other accessories, so Im currently unboxing them as I type.
Some awesome photos last year, hope for more of the same quality. I always meant to post some but never got round to it, so i'll make a start this year. I'm a bit out of practice, last time I was taking photos was before DSLR's appeared. I recently got a 'faulty' EOS 400D for free, turned out to be the lens that was dodgy. Bought a new lens, modded the broken one into a macro, and hey presto! [click images to enlarge] I need to get away from the city lights to get some good astro pics. Low E string on a guitar. Taken using the faulty EFS 18-55mm lens, which has been back-to-front modded for macro.
Is this acceptable? Blasting through the tunnel on Clubman Stage Route 5. PS: No Photoshop, only reduced the image to 800x600 with imageshack)
Took a stroll by the sea today, many nice pics but i'm loving these 2: An bandoned doll brought by the sea A perfect shot of a Seagull. @johnny nice one @borman i love the piano one
Great pics guys! I just took a closer look to the 2010 topic and I must say I'm truly impressed! I wish I had the camera or the skills to be able to take pictures like those... Anyway, I was bored waiting for someone in the car last morning and I decided to give my phone camera's macro mode a try to see what it can do with a decent amount of light.
never heard of them i'll be googling i'm pretty curious! Can you post a scan of those? i swear i tok no ispiration from anything and the cut is quite different from the basic picture i took. In any case i guess it's a compliment if it looks like the pic of a pro
Yes, it was meant as a compliment. I don't have a scanner handy, but here are some photos of the photos:
Not entirely perfect, but Im fairly happy. Going to have another go at it this week in better conditions, IE daytime and no dirty dishes.
