I've been playing the training level and a team deathmatch for a while. No problems or lag during gameplay. I've found it quite fun, and I'm not really fond of online shooters (Counter Strike and the first SOF apart).
Did a fast try in the tutorials, a bit confused over the controllers in the beginning ^_^;; Will have to do some practicing over the weekend.
Hmm. Any Americans able to connect to the EU servers? Never mind I misunderstood. I thought iherre. It's not up until tomorrow.
Weird. I have a US PS3 and a UK PSN account, with a real address. MGO gets to the log in screen where you enter your GameID and Passcode, then tries to connect. Then it faults out with a 090B-000001 error (or something like that). Perhaps it is just congested when I tried. I'll keep at it.
There are people in the UK getting the same error. This is the code run down: (0901:FFFFFFE0) - Servers are completely down (090B:00000001) - Servers are Idle, but not available to you (0903:FFFFFF60) - Theres a network error on your end, such as an unopened port (090B:00000002) - Network error on your end, try cycling your router (0692:00000003) - Server overload, keep trying to login and you can get passed it (2007:FFFFFF9D) - Connection Error, tends to happen when you try getting passed character creation, caused from server overload (0911:00000003) - Either Server busy or something on the users side (0911:FFFFFFE0) - Something to do with you being on the wrong server possibly? (0846:000000004) - Your game ID is locked due to more than 3 login attempts (090F:FFFFFF60) - Your connection doesn't meet the requirements to create a game Seems people in the UK having problems are on AOL. Therefore Konami are blocking US ISPs. Damn.
Still, seems to be a region lock with the whole Not available to you thing. UKers getting locked out its probably just an error in Konami's IP reader
I pre-ordered MGS4 for $5 and got my US PSN beta code and MGS DVD. It is now downloading. My gameID is tonytiger I also picked up GC Smash Bros. Melee for $15, the two GC Rogue Squadron games used, Viewtiful Joe for $5, and Donkey Konga 2 (new) for $9. Oh, and Animal Crossing for the wife. All black labels. Schwing!
