So is it good? One of my friends wasn't digging it much.

The game is interesting, but there are mixed opinions from others. I personally like the game. This is a beta and it will still be sometime before the game hits retail later this year (the starter pack comes with MGS4 this summer, additional DL content to follow).

I would recommend playing the game for yourself to get the real feel of the game.

The beta was in the PSN but I believe it was taken off as soon as the beta period started.

It's fun, but I find the controls difficult. I am not used to using the joypad for FPS or similar styles of play, so maybe that is the problem. With joypad games of this nature I find the stick awkward compared to the precision of a mouse. The same used to happen with Goldeneye.

    It's interesting.

If it were a stand alone title I wouldn't pick it up at all.

But it has some depth and isn't just a simple MP tacked on a game, like say The Darkness.

Controls are awkward but they "are" MSG's so if your a MSG fan theyare second nature.

Graphics are nice, level design is pretty cool.

I'm surprised going through my wireless router I have yet to see ANY lag at all. It's a bit different then the first MGS online game more frantic.

Is anyone playing a beta not made for their region, specifically? I'm an American living abroad in Asia and signed up for the US beta and can never connect. Is Konami implementing IP lockouts?

lol, Goldeneye had insane auto aim. you actually had to stop moving and push the R button to main manually. oh how i wish the Live Arcade game would come out...

I meant the moving part and the headshot type targetting. Real men don't use the auto-aim! Incidently, MGO has 3 modes; Manual-aim, Auto-aim and first person mode. No headshots in autoaim and models are location sensitive (i.e. one shot kills if you headshoot someone).

Also, you can sneak up and knock someone out, then rob them!
