jon, we gotta dress in clothes from 8th grade. so it's just like we went back in time. we need 4 CRT TV's - NO LCD, and 8 duke controllers.

and we'll be all like "WHOA NICE GRAPHICS" "WTF YOU CAN HOOK THESE TOGEHTER?!?!!?"

Man, oddball on Halo 3 is REALLY fun.

I wish Halo 3 had better custom game hosting, though. TSFP's was great, you host a match of your custom map, and anyone would join. Then again the community was a lot smaller and closely knit.

In Halo 3 you need like 60 friends (some AM and PM ones) to get about the same results.

i agree with everything except the Duke controllers. i think by the time i got the Xbox, the duke controllers weren't being produced anymore. i could be wrong though.

anyways, no 360s, i have four decent size CRTs already. and clothes from 8th grade well... i only have underwear from 8th grade. the rest of my clothes i grew out of and were worn and tattered.

epic lulz i was joking... but the duke controllers are what i learned to play with even though the S was out. I didn't give halo a REAL chance until may or june 2003.

It's something strange, the story is great (except form the last part of the ending, and some stupid videos), but the gameplay isn't as good as it was on Metal Gear Solid 3, mainly because you play A LOT less than in the third one, and it left you with the desire of playing more.

I haven't played more than a few minutes of MGS3, but I completed MGS and MGS2. I recently borrowed a PS3 with MGS4. I am quite pleased. The story is alot clearer than MGS2 and the game plays pretty well. The graphics and sound are nice. It's a good game and a must-play if you liked Metal Gear Solid on PS1. It's almost enough for me to want to get my own PS3 to play it more. But I'll have time to play it more before the PS3 goes back and when it's over I'll be playing Gears of War 2 so...

But eventually I want a PS3 of my own with MGS4. I can't say it's the best game ever or anything, it has it's issues but overall I was quite pleased. I haven't tried the Metal Gear Online thing, but I'm not that interested anyway. Having played MGS4 and enjoyed it makes me far more likely to actually play through MGS3 and probably give all of the series another play through.

If MGS4 were available on 360 it would be nice. But there's still a good chance I'd pick it up on PS3 still anyway.

How long will it be until PS3s reach $199.99 you think? Just the basic ones. IF I do get one, I'd just want to be able to save games and play them, nothing else. Don't care about backwards compatibility right now.

Speaking of new PS3 games, anyone else think Little Big Planet is a glorified cutesy physics simulator? I hate to be that way, but that's all I can deduce from what I've seen of the game. Whats the MSRP going to be? $60? If so, that's way too much of an asking price, IMHO. If I decide to get a PS3, I'll wait until LBP goes down to like $20 or $30 before I get it. And by the time I probably get a PS3 it will probably be that price.
