MGS4 for xbox 360 "is something we are currently looking in to."

If MGS4 goes to the 360, I highly doubt I'll get a PS3. At least not for how much it costs anyway. Can Sony hold on to ANY of their exclusives?

 

I hate to admit it but PS3 still has a few games I look forward to

Dark Cloud 3 (which is hopefully in development)
L.A. Noire
God of War III

But I don't have a PS3 :-(
And while gow 3 and Dark cloud 3 are definitely ps3 exclusive hopefuly LA Noire will also come over.

 

Oh yeah, God of War 3 and whatever Team Ico's cooking up will probably be the only PS3 games I'll want. Oh wait, I did want to try Eye of Judgment though.

What about the post-screaming-mantis fight where psycho mantis does the controller / memory card thing? still show a psx? seems kinda dumb.

not to mention the countless instances of ps3's, ps3 controllers, and psp's.

It wont be a simple port. Theyre seriously going to have to alter the game cinematics...

 

although I own the Ps3 version (and haven't touched it actually because I want to finish 2 and 3 first on a separate console since my ps3 doesnt do ps2 software.. ) I d love to see what they can pull off on the ole' 360.

technical points of interest are:

graphics of course, the number of DVD discs required, if there will be any sort of installation, improvements and audio - remember that you can't stream your own music on the ps3 (in MGS4) but it's a mandatory requirement on the 360.

 

whoa there fanboy - have you ever heard of Metal Gear Solid: Twin Snakes? if not, I d suggest you play it to see how similar "issues" were handled perfectly.

 

No, I know exactly how they handled it. The "problem" is that every single console that mgs1 is on utilizes a memory card. The gist of mantis's little speach is that snake got a hardware upgrade (memcard -> hdd), but xboxes ooooonly used hdd's. The talking point will have to be something other than a "hardware upgrade".

I dont own any xbox of any kind so dont quote me on this: but does any xbox system have rumble? if not, an entire clip is going to have to be cut from the 360 version, or else it wont make much sense.

technically the first xbox and the 360, both support their own types of memory card, although not mandatory. I don't see an issue with this per se.

wtf? Have you PLAYED an Xbox? Yes. Xbox has Memory cards - they have 2 slots on top of the controller for TWO of them. The 360 Also has memory cards -2 slots. right under the disc drive.

And YES. Both Xboxes have 2 vibration motors per controller.

I have owned an xbox before.

I bought it from a friend for 10 bucks, without any controllers or games.

I took it apart and attempted to put it into a small computer tower, but I got frustrated because I only had a pre-fab tower that didnt have screw holes in the proper places, so I threw everything out.

imo, the only thing an xbox is good for it halo. I find halo to be nothing more than an extremely generic fps that somehow happens to have a large following, so I have never done more than watched someone play it.

I don't mean to say to the halo fanboys that halo is a BAD game. What I am saying is that it seems like any other modern fps to me (get guns, shoot guns, throw nades, vehicles), and given a choice, I would rather spend my time on a classic like counter strike.
