Well,i don't know its costs, since i never saw it for sale.
But i suppose it would fetch like Smisey Home or Mega Anser, aybe slightly more, like 200000 Yens.
Don't expect it to be 11000€ like Tetris (again,i think that is WAY too much, Tetris i saw 3 years ago got sold for 400000 Yens max),because it hasn't AT ALL the same aura/interest due to its history.

Mandarake in Nakano has a great selection of rare games from time to time. They digged out stuff like Yam Yam Gold which would be the masterpiece of every Super Famicom collection.

Concerning Tetris: you can find it in nearly all of the big retro game stores in the Kanto + Kansai region as an overpriced vintage item for 135000+ Yen.
As Adol wrote: you cannot compare it w/ Go-Net since it is "available" for big cash and Go-Net is NOT...

I didn't mean it like that, to compare it w/ Go-Net. If Go-Net sold for 200,000 yen like Adol said, I think that's a lot of money too, at least for me. ^_^

I doubt that to be honest.
I have been to Tokyo and Kyoto/Osaka last year and there was no Tetris anywhere (Mandarake/Potato/GameTiger ect). Furthermore theres only an assumed one-digit number of confirmed copies floating around, so its very unlike other rare items which are available as you said in most of the Kanto/Kansai located Retro Stores (i.e. Indo no Honno or Power League Gold).

If Tetris was for sale everywhere in Japan, Mundo wouldn't had payed 11000€ for it, I think. ;)

Although I would also consider 11k as too much ^_~
I remember a picture of a Tetris in the showcase of a Mandarake store (Nakano?) for "only" 223'000円. :)

I said it WOULD sell for 200k.
I never saw it for sale, i'm just estimating

About Tetris,i highly doubt it is in a japanese shop right now.
I'd pay 400000 yens right now if there was one,but i'm pretty sure other guys here will pay even more.

There was the 17,500 Kizuna sold years ago on eBay to that guy in Vegas in US $, that 12,000 Euro one must be recent.

A new Taiko no Tastujin machine costs 12000$. That's just the retail price.

    RE: Thread title.
Not exactly the most expensive but more than I would pay for a video game.

I think they were referring to "home"videogames.
Some arcade game like Galaxian 3 costed up to $100000.

And not even mentionning the card arcade games with several machines like Quest of D.If you don't speak about the game only but also of the whole unit, sure it could be way more expensive than any home videogame.

Well one must consider that these are actual "machines" with MASS. A 15,000$ NES-cartridge is quite more impressive than a 15,000$ arcade cabinet with 4 huge screens, 4 seats and all the computing stuff inside. 15k for such a machine seems far more adequate than for a tiny cartridge.

BTW: Has there ever been a widescreen Darius-cabinet for sale?

Yes,Darius is a 3screen game like Ninja Warriors or Rastan Saga III.
Then, there was a dedicated cabinet for it :)
