MOVE does what NATALWON'T Sony tries to copy old SEGA's wit with the new PS MOVE ad It lacks the "in your face!" from those old 90s ads, but then again someone should remind sony that a good ad doesnt make a good product, and that some of SEGA's most agressive ads which were aimed squarely at the Saturn's rivals (just like this one does to Wii and X360) did little to help sales, and moking more advanced (Natal) and inexpensive (wiimote) technologies will hardly do anything to counter MOVE's disadvantages. Remember years ago when people compared the PS3 to Saturn? well it got a little closer...
What the hell is that thing he's holding? Either some day-glo vibrator or a kids Fisher Price toy. Yakumo
Was that supposed to be humor? Because that was the unfunniest thing I've seen in a long time that doesn't involve a movie called ____ Movie.
Actually I don't want two huge glowing balls next to my eyes while I'm playing a fighting game. What kind of game is this? I sure hope you can switch those crazy lightbulbs off while playing.
Seriously, that glowing ball just looks silly Actually, no....but I do remember comparing the 360 to Dreamcast lol.
I'm curious to see how Natal and Move will sell. Historically, add-ons have never sold well for any console and I would comfortably say that they will both fail, but the recent success of multiple guitar games and Motion + make me rethink my stance.
Well I think they meant to say you can accurately masturbate with move where as natal might interpret your masturbation as wanting to show off the bottom of your avatar's shoe. :033:
This could end up a huge embarrassment for sony, the kind of device that makes the "worst of" lists or the "what were they thinking" If the ball at the end was needed to track movements, couldn't they have enclosed it somehow to hide the whole phallic big schlong aspect of it? Motion control and 3D movies, fads of the 2000s that people will laugh at 10 years from now.
Interesting that they show very little actual gameplay usage.. It's just some guy throwing punches and then someone using the thing as a basic mouse pointer in an FPS. Both while having their retinas burned out by those giant glowing orbs. Perhaps the glowing distraction will be used as a way of hiding behind how inaccurate the sensors may be. "no no it's not our fault that your eyes cannot adjust in a dimly lit room and thus you cannot accurately use our new control scheme. It's your pathetic eyes."
Well ultimately we won't tell until it comes out. People said shit about the Wii before it came out and look how that turned out >.>
AFAIK the MOVE is a little more precise than the wiimote+motion, but it seems it would also be more expensive: For the full PlayStation Move experience, each player needs two PlayStation Moves and a sub-controller. The reason why you need two Moves AND a sub-controller is because the sub-controller doesn't support motion gaming at all, and the Move doesn't have that analog stick you find on the sub. Some games will require Move + sub, some will require two Moves. You also need one PlayStation Eye that services all four players. Let's price these components out, hypothetically. To have a "full" experience, you need just one PlayStation Eye, but two Moves and a sub-controller per player. And since the sub-controller doesn't have motion (but does have wireless), we'll price it at $30. The first player gets set up with the Eye and the Move bundle for $80. He still needs another Move and a sub-controller, which is an additional $80. That's $160. The second player needs one too, so it's $130. That's a total of $290. Imaginary prices aside, thats one marketing mess right there. Seems to me the guy who's been making all the bad decisions (UMDs, ATRAC, etc...) at sony is still working there. Hope he gets fired when this explodes... Anyways, I dont think that the add-on effect will hurt Natal since it's just one add-on (unlike MOVE's gazillion) and its friggin awesome, the true next step in gameplay, way past simple motion sensors. The problem? well even for only one or two players there's still some lag, mainly because Natal needs lots of processing power and the X360 is already being maxed-out by most new games, leaving little to its 5-year old CPU to spare. Dunno, maybe MS will decide to launch a repackaged/overhauled X360 with Natal as a new console, like Nintendo did with the GC and Wiimote
You are assuming that anybody who has TWO well lit dildos and the sub-controller will actually have a friend to play two player with.
I think it's too soon to start going off on price for the device till sony comes clean and gives actual pricing. I mean if you want to go overboard, you can do that on the Wii as well (Wiimote, Motion plus & sub controller, hell even throw in a classic controller).
It all comes down to 3rd party support and how well the controlS are implemented... If we have anything to learn from the Wii.. is that there are some developers out there that do not know how to effectivly use motion control to enhance a game...
Shitty ports of rayman raving rabbids ahoy! Seriously, I come home at 11pm and don't want to have to crouch and box. This looks like some kind of cyber dick.
