Although I m at work on my own game project, let me know what kind of test art you'd be interested in, I might be able to assist.
Yeah... this drought until June is pretty damn awful. Its so bad I'm actually excited for Pac-Man & Galaga Dimensions.
And Nintendo is taking a long time , for the update with internet and the E-shop! The update will appear in May at the end !
Its at the END of May!? Gaaaaah! Bastards. I was hoping it would be early May so there would be something to tide me over until June hit. OH:
Finally got some time playing PES 2011, surprised to see adverts around the pitch for the PS3. I know they sponsor the champions league but still surprised to see adverts for them on a Nintendo console!! First copy of PES in a while so not sure if they did this for other versions on no sony consoles?? Great game tho, really shows off the 3D!!
The 3DS was launched earlier than intended perhaps? Why else the lack of games? The same happened to the Virtual Boy.
some notes. I tried the 3DS and it's OK..but I felt the "3d" effect more with the original Virtual Boy back in the day - I own neither. Playstation 3 in a Nintendo game? That's funny. I was wondering if this would happen one day a few years ago, glad to see my question answered! Can we have pictures?? I m also surprised there's no VC service on yet. I d be more than happy to pay for some classic goodness considering the launch games are kinda meh.
I wish there were a red 3DS so I could put it next to my Virtual Boy and take "Grandpa meets baby" pictures. Should I get the black one or the blue one? I kind of like the blue one, but the black one looks slick too. Should I be concerned about the "black screen" error if I'm importing? As far as I know, DS software is backwards compatible in a region free manner, right? Meaning I can still play my Japanese DS games? And... what about that R4? Has anyone here tried it on the 3DS? What do you guys report about it?
Have no real way of getting pics from the game but after a quick google I found http://ps3crunch.net/nintedo-3ds-promoting-sony-ps3-ads-game.html There are both Sony 3D adverts and PS3 specific, I have the Pal version of the game but seems from the link to be in winning eleven which is the JPN version from what I understand... there is also talk about ps3 ads on the xbox version?
Has anyone played Super Mario 64 DS on the system yet? I gave my copy away awhile ago because I hated the control scheme on DS, but now I regret that. I'm sure it's a ton better with the circle pad on 3DS. Not sure what other games would fit into this category, probably a few.
I just read in Nintendo Power that you can use the circle pad with Super Mario 64 DS, but it's not true analog. It'd be cool if they made an update for it that allowed full analog control, or better yet a remake like Star Fox 64 3D or OoT 3D.
That's pretty much what he said. Another conversion of Mario 64, though... I'd love to play it with the 3D effect, but Nintendo get a lot of shit for rehashing things and I'm not entirely surprised they aren't launching with the same game that they did for the DS.
They could do SM64 as a downloadable title with analog support, I guess. I wish they could just send a patch or find a way to achieve true analog with the DS original. Hopefully we'll hear more about SM3DS at E3.
I just noticed something about my 3DS. The touchscreen is very accurate. You don't really notice it because most games don't use it fully. But there's a program that lets you draw stuff while you're playing a game (it's one of the buttons on the top) and it's ridiculously accurate. Way better than the DS. Of course, you need to use the stylus. It was like writing with a pen. It would be really cool if someone found a way to use the touchscreen with a PC or a Mac.
The sad part is that the 3D graphics can't be directly interfaced, since the bottom screen is just a lame appendix and not the main dish anymore..That's how it feels. In that respect, the NGP marries the graphics and the touch better than the 3DS.
I finally gave in and bought a 3DS - and I have mixed feelings. The built-in software is definitely lots of fun, and when you find the sweet spot when playing in 3D, the illusion of depth is pretty cool. On the other hand, the build quality of the 3DS itself is a little shoddy, and I often find myself just pushing the 3D switch down to zero when playing Pilotwings, and getting nostalgic for the glorious N64 version. I'm not going to write-off the 3DS yet as there aren't any killer games as yet. But, while other Nintendo consoles have grabbed me from the get-go, I'm not bowled over by the Big N's new handheld so far.
