On another note: I would have jumped in on this thread earlier but, I had to rebuild my computer after a kernel panic and harddrive fiasco I didn't have alot of extra time.

 

So now that the wealth of damning evidence has forced the end to this unfair eBay dispute, where do we vote for a ban? Or at the very least a "Scammer" warning label?

I used the Thanks feature to "vote" for voting about banning NDS_Demo.

 

As I understand it he offered to ship to germany but the buyer insisted he wanted it this way.
I'm having a similar problem myself with some woman who didn't bother to mention that she was moving house until a day after she had been told that the item had been dispatched. We did everything right, shipped to her paypal address but she paid for cheap un-tracked shipping and refuses to go to the post office to see if it's there. Despite admitting that it's her bad she opened a paypal dispute to try and get her money back, the item hasn't bounced back so it's clearly been delivered and paypal didn't even look at the dispute, just saying provide tracking information or issue a refund. It's a shame she isn't a member of any gaming websites that I know of lol

It was infuriating, however, that he tried to scam Borman, and still denies responsibility.

I refused to ship to Germany. The buyer wouldn't have been able to buy it, but they said they had an address in Texas, so that meets my requirements. And when he failed to pick it up, I offered to ship it to Germany to be nice, because up to that point he had been cooperative.

And Ebay's requirements are items over 250$ require signature confirmation, which is exactly what I did.

 

Aren't sellers no longer eligible for seller protection if they ship to an alternate address?

 

I shipped to the address on the Paypal payment, thus the only address I had to ship it to, and the address that PP said to ship it to.

 

I voted also. What he did wasn't right, pure and simple.

 

What they fail to mention is, you need signature to win ANY not received dispute. As hedgeyourbets found out.

its quite simply a case of "provide tracking or refund them", as he found out.

I know my opinion probably doesn't carry as much weight as some other members, but I vote for a ban. Screwing someone out of $500 because you get cold feet after a purchase and not taking responsibility for it ("next time I want a IS Nitro Capture Unit but without the hassle", seriously?) is pretty damn low.
