I'm an RX-7 fan myself... i so want an FD3S right now, in Yellow with an A-Spec front and ridiculously sized wing on the back for no apparent reason whatsoever other than to look cool. I'd love to know how Mazda plan to carry on the RX-7 line (if in fact they do seen as they have the 8 now)
Is it some film where the car gets destroyed and then gets put back together as if by magic? Then goes and hunts some other people down again and samething happens?
Picture is from the old movie with Charlie Sheen called the "Wraith". I thought it was a modified Camaro, or Firebird. The Ford Taurus is a good car. It has a nice V6, got good pick up. Take good care of it and it last you a while. I still own my old Saturn SL1 1992. For my next car I might actually buy a Saturn ION or Honda Civic, or Corolla. Might be able to afford it in the next few months. I'm on vacation btw. Will post my pictures and tell you guys where I went and stuff next Sunday.
Madhatter takes the cake but paulo got the premise of the movie right as well. M4S (Dodge PPG Turbo Interceptor; 1981, 1984) prototype, perhaps best known for its movie role in The Wraith, is in storage at the Walter P. Chrysler museum (Derek Beland). It had a 2.2 block and five speed manual with a Cosworth 16-valve twin-cam head, dual turbos, and Bosch fuel injection, making 440 hp with 0-60 in 4.1 and a 12.9 quarter with 195 mph top speed (Road & Track figures). It was mid-engined and loosely Daytona based. It was an actual Indy car in 1981. There are reportedly four still around, one at PPG HQ, one at the museum. For a time, a replica was being made as a kit car with a different engine.
Japanese cars. PLEASE, you've gotta be kidding. I'm not saying they're bad but compared to American muscle like:
Muscle is no good here when the cars can't turn corners We don't have miles and miles of open roads, to dominate a nice twisty circuit we brits have the Ariel Atom II. It's not amazingly expensive compared to supercars and it even beat a Ferrari Enzo (which is 10x more expensive) around a racetrack. It sort of reminds me of the Britten V1000 bike - it was a superbike literally designed and built by a chap in his garage, he took on the big manufacturers on the racetrack and his bike won championships, unfortunately he died after only building 10 bikes but these guys are doing a similar thing but with cars, 3 guys in a garage living their dream and kicking billionaire butt! http://www.arielmotor.co.uk/ EDIT: For the interested, info on John Britten and the V1000: http://www.nzedge.com/heroes/britten.html
That's one of the great things about this country. If you want you can just get in your car and drive forever. Everyone should come here once in their lifetime, rent a convertible and just drive. It would go a long way in understanding why we're so obsessed about oil.
I've sorted out the paperowrk now to get my replacement bike, it's almost identical to my bike that was stolen, but it's UK spec, slightly different colour and better front brakes - also getting it with all the optional accessories Honda XR125L Scuff Plate Set Aluminium Skid Plate 35 Litre Top Box
I think what some of these guys are forgetting is that Mazda, Volvo, Jaguar, Land Rover, and Aston Martin are all owned by the Ford Motor Company. USA wins!
What you're also forgetting is since Ford took over all the cars the companies made have been shit But when they were in their original hands, they made some real classics USA loses
Those last generation SHO's are pretty nice looking. They definitely have some potential to make some power but a first generation V6 with a manual trans will mop the floor with it.
I didn't forget, I just didn't know since I don't keep up with Mazda, Volvo, Jaguar, Aston Martin, or Land Rover. Also, they may have just gotten worse in your opinion. Anyhow, I'm not really a Ford fanatic anyway. The only Fords I like are the GT, Mustang, and Focus. BTW, that picture I posted isn't a Ford...
