I'll go with the '05 S7 Twin Turbo. (HP) S7: 750 GT90: 720 (0-60 mph) S7: 2.8 sec GT90: 3.1 sec (0-100 mph) S7: 6.0 sec GT90: 6.2 sec (0-1/4 mi) S7: 10.07 sec GT90: 10.09 sec (Top Speed) S7: 240+ mph (est) GT90: 235 mph (est)
Any car can slalom at 70mph though hehe, you see that happen on UK motorways daily with all these bad drivers, regardless of their vehicle - from el cheapo family cars to estates, lorries, wagons, buses, the lot
I think that is exactly what it is, but mind, that car was actually put into production (not with the time machine though :angry) as the DeLorean by DMC (Dallas Motor Company). Not that many were made, and supposedly it doesn't have paint, just stainless steel. Also, I hear it's a bitch to maintain. There's a few in my area though.
hehe AntiPasta - as far as I can remember DMC was the Delorean Motor Company (not Dallas) and it was put into production as the DMC-12, not as the Delorean EDIT: After a quick google, they made just over 9000 of these too
Your knowledge on the S7: Null Unlike the Viper, the S7 wasn't made to go in a strait line, it was made for the track.
The DMC-12 is a pretty unique car. They had innovative looks, but the stock Renault engine was a dog. Also the car is heavy for it's size, due to the large amount of stainless steal used in it's production. As of late I have been very unimpressed with the car production of most of the companies around the world. The S7 is a sweet car, although very expensive, and hardly a 'production' vehicle. The Pontiac Solstice and the Staurn Sky are very interesting, giving the Miata a run for it's money. I know most people dislike American vehicles, but as of late the quality has gotten much better. Btw, that is a nice car, good luck with your new wheels. :happyhap: ^_^_^
Gotta agree with Yakumo. Unless your willing to pay 30,000+ the styling for US cars tends to suck for the most part. There are exceptions like the new Mustang but it's a lot fewer compared to other countries. Rant time... What pisses me off though is that back in my parents generation they could afford cool cars when they were young. Every time I hear my parents talk about how they and their friends had Mustangs, Chargers, Roadrunners, Corvettes when they were young I just want to scream WTF. Meanwhile we get stuck with shit 80's and 90's family cars like the Ford Taurus and Dodge Neon. Oh yeah let's not forget the good old minivan that's been forced upon many a teenager. We can't even find beaters of these old cars to fix up because their generation has suddenly gotten nostalgic for the cars of their youth and have driven the prices to god forsaken levels. A bunch of parasites that generation is. Share the fucking wealth a little will ya. Don't even get me started on horsepower. Thanks to their generation wrapping themselves around trees we've been fucked out of that too. We sure do get the shaft on insurance to this day because of it though.
They were also built in Northern Ireland, which would explain why they leaked and fell apart, and when exported back the US Delorean had to fix them up again. I also don't like most modern American cars for reasons like Yakumo's, and the fact that engines and other mechanics are generally less refined compared to European and Japanese cars - FFS, I'm pretty sure most vans over here don't have live rear axles any more, never mind cars! I like the old muscle cars and stuff - possibly because I used to watch the Dukes of Hazzard too much ^_^ Ha ha, they were lucky. When I hear my parents generation talk about cars they had when they were younger, it was shit like half-falling-apart Datsun 140Z's, Toyota Liteaces and Renault 4's. Ew.
It's kind of funny how the "quality" issue has been in my family. My mom and dad both drive American minivans, but my mother told me I had to get a Japanese car (I had no problems with that). My brother and sister both had Accords, and I have a '92 Camry, which I'm perfectly happy with. If anyone's curious, both of their minivans have had fairly serious problems. My brother's Accord has never had any issues (other than what he himself caused), and the only thing my Camry has had done was new motor mounts (needed that when we bought the car).
