hmm who needs cars anyway? http://www.dodge.com/tomahawk/flash.html The Dodge Tomahawk - 400mph top speed and the engine from a Viper! They can't style a car but my god they can make a bike! (Still 0% cornering ability though but who cares @ 400mph!) Yours for $500,000 ... For the Akira fans dreaming of owning Kaneda's bike you may as well have the next best thing - a Suzuki G-Strider! http://www.suzukicycles.org/Concept-Suzuki/G-Strider.shtml
you can in gt4. mmmm...lovely dolorean. :-D as for cool cars i like porche and bmw alot. the only dodge car i can stand is the viper.
Dodge needs to call that bike the Silver Coffin. Whoever designed it had to have been taken to some psych ward shortly after.
That Dodge bike looks like something from a 70's sci-fi movie If you went 400mph on that then surely the rider would be thrown off ? Yakumo
Heres my car. A saturn SL1 1992. 85HP SOHC. Its ok, I guess, for a car its age and quality. It takes corners really good compared to my mom's car. My next car that I'm saving up for will most likely be a saturn ION or Dodge neon since I can get a used one with low mileage compared to other cars at the price range I'm looking at. Heres a Saturn ION, one that I'm interested in.
I just need to come up with $2K asap to have low car payments. The car is only $7995. I just need to keep payments less than $200 and a short loan term as possible and with my good credit they'll work with me. I'm gonna call up the dealership this coming weekend.
I asked all the import dealers before I bought the SHO, as to why they think (imports) are better in reliability terms then our north american cars. All of them said its because they dont have to make cars last 10+ years here cause north americans get board of there cars after about 5 years and turn them in for something newer. Its not that our designers and enginers are crappy or the import builders are any better. Its just cause they dont need to worry about the first owner keeping the damn thing forever. Made sence to me...but I still LOVE me new(used) SHO, damn the V8 sounds great
Um... what's that supposed to mean? ... Anyway, I drive a 93 ford Topaz (which is the mexican equivalent to a Ford Tempo), and recently, a bus had a slight impact with the right side of it. No serious damage but it still looks ugly. I still have to have that fixed. I take the bus most of the time, though, which is a seriously risky activity. Mexican buses do happen to be Mercedes Benz, though... ugly and dirty and dangerous as they may be.
I couldn't belive my eyes today !! I saw a real DeLorean on the way to work. It looked a bit rusty but still, seeing one of them in real life in Japan is quite a special thing. Yakumo
Very cool, Yakumo. They are very interesting cars in person. I see them every now and then at local cars shows. I have to say a large part of a car lasting a long time is maintenance. My dad and myself take very good care of our cars. My parents own a 1991 Voyager minivan [:smt009] and the only issues they have had with it are recalls. The head is going, but the thing is over 13 yr's old so I think they got their money's worth. My family has owned a 1994 Saturn SL1 and a 1996 Bonneville, both still going strong. They also had a 1993 Celica [RIP] and a 1991 Eclipse that has had issues since my brother got the thing last year. I have owned a 1980 Ford Fairmont wagon [biggest POS I have ever driven], 1987 Delta 88 [awesome boat], 1988 Skylark [another big POS], 1986 Monte Carlo SS [I miss this one the most :smt022 ], 1993 Cavalier [not a bad car, and the V6 was preppy] and my current 1997 Civic EX. A few issues where from quality but of all the cars I have owned, the prior maintenance or lack there of, was key to the problems I have had with all the above. ^_^_^
WHOA, Wasn't the Skylark one of the longest cars ever? Along with the Caprice, the LTD, and the Mercury/Grand Marquis, I think. I know, because my parents have a 1980 Mercury Grand Marquis that just needs a turret on the top to be called a panzer tank. Huge, heavy, but a joy to drive once you get used to the size. It does however consume gas like there's no tomorrow.
My "new" car, bought a month ago or so. Sold the Peugeot 206 1.6 (100hp) on got this Citroën Xsara VTS 2.0 (180hp) PS: Sorry the crap picture, but it's the only one i got (my brother borrowed my camera). This pic was taken by the previous owner.
Johnny, good luck with your new ride, it's nice. I wish they still sold Peugot's here, I am dying for a 306. :-(
It was probably just dirty. It's very hard to clean those cars because of the rough surface of the stainless steel.
Thanks. Peugeot 306 is a very good car indeed. They are not expensive down here. I think you can have the sporty version, complete for like 10000 Reais (aprox. 4.200 dollars)
I saw some show about that bike. I would hate to have to pick up after someone wrecks in one of those things. You'd be scraping parts off the pavement.
Johnny, thats a pretty nice looking car you've got there. Must have set you back a good few thousand. How's the ride. I heard the Citroën Xsara VTS 2.0 is meant to be quite a nice saloon (Sedan). Yakumo
Well, after i sold the Peugeot 206, i only needed a little bit more for the VTS. Not much really. The 206 was 1999, while the VTS is 1998. Anyway, the car is great. The 2.0 engine is quite a powerful machine, and it's noise it's fantastic. The suspension is very sport-ish, and the car behaves like a much more expensive sports car. It's incredible how it's different from a normal Citroën Xsara GLX 1.8. The only drawbacks that i noticed till now, are a small scratch on the front bumper (fixed) and the insurance, which is more expensive than it used to be for the 206. But since i got the car through a Citroën dealership (A owner put it for sale on the dealership), i got 1 year of free insurance. :drinkers:
