This brings so many good memories. That's a great collector's item! Is this available for sale anywhere?
That must be part of the LE pack that Sega was talking about First one since the 10th aniversary SA2 edition Cant believe all that happened 10 years ago...
The 't-shirt cartridge' is part of the European presskit. There is one on eBay now with a bid of 400$ on it, thats just crazy. Undoubtly more will surface eventually, amazing that some journalists try to re-sell their promo stuff so fast!
Why oh why are we being stiffed in japan? Home of Sonic! Oh well, Sonic was always a Mario killer in Europe anyway. I guess that's why Europe gets the special edition.
*Sonic Cult comes smashing through the wall* *Ahem* http://web.archive.org/web/20090303110623/http://www.sonic-cult.org/articles/segasonic/ (Because Sonic Cult appears to be down)
Review here http://www.assemblergames.com/forums/showthread.php?p=543134#post543134 and a look at my Collectors Edition.
I honestly dont know why they still bother with press kits... Since ebay went up game "journalists" have been selling these for giant wads of cash And some free trinkets wont buy you a good review, if gamespot made something clear is that if you want your POS game to get at least a 9 you have to open your checkbook.
It turns out that it's not a press kit only release. HMV UK were selling them in store only on release day. Hate that I did not know that, hopefully I'll stumble across one in my local HMV.
EDGE are cocks. Always have been and always will be. They're always so far up their own arse since issue one. I've never liked their views at all. As for that Sonic Cult article, well..... just goes to show what a bunch off idiots they are. Dr. Robotnik is the real name because the game was released in the west first??? So? Who's to say the game names were decided in that order? Also, if a game is produced by Japanese then it's a Japanese game. It doesn't matter what country it was made in. It's the team that comes with the ideas. Same with an American team game made in Japan. That would be an American game. same with movies. Many parts of Star Wars were filmed in the UK but nobody says it's a British film. Good old Sonic Cult, the site of idiots. Yakumo
Just wait until my Sonic 20th Anniversary special. You'll never view Sonic the same way again. (A Clip is in the Retrocade thread) And yeah that sonic cult article is all kinds of retarded. THIS however has some real AHEM Sonic Gems sonic.wikia.com/wiki/Sonic_News_Network
December 11th in Japan and November 11th in Asia. Needless to say I'm getting the Asian one. If Sonic was designed for the states why are only Europe getting the special edition? I reccon it's to due with sales. Sega really did rule in Europe back in the 16bit days.
