LOL, both paper and ink grow on trees, actually. If it's a joke I think it will be a short lived one. Sega are bound to launch NiGHTS on the Wii or PS3, it's just a matter of time. Edit: The PS3 pad is closer to the Analogue Saturn pad (and PS3 network might be a good place to sell a niche game like NiGHTS too)
Okay... Well now we have confirmation that its not an april fools joke http://gonintendo.com/?p=14741 Now this quote has me wondering. I think its obviously nights. But, anyone have any other fits? "I’ve seen everything from Family Guy to Woody Woodpecker fitting perfectly in that star cluster!"
It was an analogy, the point is that making a mag costs money, and using an entire page for a joke instead of ads is a big waste of resources. Therefore I doubt this is an AFD joke...
Now I am confused. Is the second picture Shadowlayer posted (the one with NiGHTS superimposed) a 'real' picture from the past, or is it just the Nintendo Power magazine screenshot with NiGHTS added for comparison of the shape? I guess the later? Also, what about the stars to the right? They are not connected up but are prominent in the picture.
I happen to agree 100% with that idea. Pulling it off in a fun manner is another topic though, which SEGA have proven to mess up with their Sonic franchise time and time again
Thanks man. I had no idea there were even concept images for the sequel. So they'll be really cool to see
Either you're trolling or you haven't played the game enough to form an opinion on the matter. If there is a new game for Wii, I doubt it'd be "paper aeroplane" style controls. The loops would be a pain. More likely to use the Wiimote as a wand. If that was nailed perfectly it'd be pure joy.
Come to think of it, the 'pin-point' function of the IR on the wiimote could be useful in a 'wand' fashion. Pointing Nights where to head next (on the Z axis, assuming the camera is behind him) and controlling his linear movement along the axis with the accelerometeres. Loops can be achieved by a combination of movement and button pressing.
Barc0de said he wanted a 3D, non-linear nights so theres the solution, after all the point of the first game was to emulate the sensation of flying, so what better way than having to "fly" the wiimote around? But I see the pin-point system working on the same old gameplay of the first nights...
Confirmed...... http://www.mcvuk.com/news/26162/NiGHTS-heads-for-Wii http://news.spong.com/article/12086
That reminds me (O/T), nothing's better than doing april's fools joke and sticking paper fishes on the back of everyone in middle of june.
Yeah... NOTHING is confirmed when it's on Spong. EDIT: Has anyone ever saved some of the lame crap Spong posts and confronted them with it when it turns out to be complete and total horse shit?
Everyone seems to be hoping for a NiGHTS sequel...me, I'd much rather it be a Nintendo-developed StarFox.
No way. To me Nintendo aren't even close to the old Sega in terms of quantity and quality. Mario this and that, Zelda and Metroid. That's all you get from Nintendo. Come on NiGHTS ! I've been playing the new Sonic and the Secret Rings. While it's not quite up there with Sonic Adventure it's certainly a step in the right direction. So there is hope for a quality NiGHTS sequel. yakumo
