I hope Sega supports the Switch the same way they did the Wii and Gamecube. I really want an HD Remaster of Sonic Colors.
VO would be awesome; I'd want some way to turn the joycons into sticks though, holding them in midair just wouldn't feel right. Just some cheap plastic joints anchoring them to a table may be enough. How about another Samba de Amigo rerelease? Basically, add HD rumble, and done. (Only, no DLC this time plox.)
Samba de Amigo would be PERFECT for the Switch. Maybe on Namco's end a new Time Crisis using the Joycons. Endless Possibilities here People can hate on motion control but you do it right and it's all that much more fun.
Well, they might be out of the equation already... I read recently (can't find to quote now so take it with a grain of salt) that they were in discussions with Nintendo to bring Borderlands 3 to the Switch, and midway through the ongoing discussions Nintendo just cut all communication with them and showed no further interest.
I wouldn't want to see Boarderlands on the Switch anyway. What I want out of the Switch are unique experiences. If it's all 1st party Nintendo GREAT but if we see 3rd party ports of other games with Uniquely Nintendo content, that's incentive for me to buy the Switch version of a game over the PS4 Version of a game.
I feel like they really had the right idea with the Wii U, it just needed some tweaking. Ask anyone that played Wind Waker HD or Deus Ex: Human Revolution using the Wii U gamepad, or Ocarina of Time 3D on the 3DS, or any of the DS Castlevania games. A second screen isn't just a gimmick (though unfortunately it can be), it actually adds something to the game that a standard controller can't provide. Extra inventory slots so you don't have to pause the game to change equipment, a quick way to view the map in large games, extra info that would otherwise clutter the screen ui, etc. I wish they would've focused more on that aspect of the system rather than the portable part of it. I don't want to play a new 3D Zelda game on the go, I want to play it on my HDTV, relaxed on my couch, with no outside distractions.
> Gearbox is out Maybe now they'll find some time to finally fix Homeworld Remastered? (Yeah, as if... fsck them.)
I really don't care much if Gearbox is out, I liked and played the shit out of Borderlands 1, but then tried BL2 and it was just more of the exact same and lost interest. The problem with this though, might be if it happens with more 3rd parties, let's hope not.
I suspect that conversation went something like: Gearbox: Hey Nintendo, if you secure a popular license aimed at adult audiences we'll make a great grown-up game for your new console! *wink wink* Nintendo: Oh, OK, cool. Um, you won't farm it out to some other studio and just spend the money we give you on Borderlands @: The Pre-Pre-Se-Prequel will you? Gearbox: What? Nooooooooo. We would neeeeeeever do that Nintendo. *wink wink* Nintendo: Why are you winking like that? Gearbox: What? Nooooooo. We aren't winking Nintendo. *wink wink* Nintendo: I don't think we want your game. Gearbox: Nintendo, you totally want our game. *wink wink* Nintendo:... Gearbox: Nintendo? Hello? Nintendo:... Gearbox: *sigh* Time to find another potential sucker.
LOL! Probably went that way yes. In any case, I hope it doesn't happen with other 3rd parties just for the sake of people who buy the Switch as a main console, probably none of us here in the boards, but might be the case with many people who can't afford to have 2 consoles or invest in PC gaming.
