Nothing like good old racism...

I have some words from far east countries, when they refer to whites or those from the west.

Singapore = "Ang-Moh"
Malaysia = "Puteh"
Indonesia = "Bule"
Hongkong = "Gwai-Loh"

Those words above, when translated to plain english basically means, people with red hair, white skin, mixture of white and pinkish colour.

The Hongkong one is rather harsh since gwai loh can be translated as red devil.

Sorry If I made a mistake, or If it sounds racist, I am in no way a racist person, I was just trying to reply to the question

Spanish (in Mexico) = Gringo (as in Green Go Home, I hear)
Japan = don't really have one
America (used by blacks, and my personal favorite) = Cracker

Anybody know any from Africa or the Middle east? I'd like to go see the pyrimids one day.

There are tons of slurrs for white people in America (usually voiced by black people) including:

Whitey
cracker
bule eyed-devil
Honeky Muthafucka
"The man" (as in "Everytime I raise up THE MAN slaps me down")
Binky (usually in refrence to an authority figure like a judge or cop, like he's a clown)
etc.

What about Europe, or South Africa, or any other place where there's oppressed minorities?

What about countries where you see the same kind of oppression that was common here in the 1950's, like say Isreal/Palestine, or Bosnia, China/Tibet, etc?

Man, I am seriously considering writing a thesis on this. I've already got the title:

"Social-economic and political influences on Racism and eliteism in the modern world taken from a post-colonial perspective."

Now I just need to go to graduate school.

 

Thats great, one needs to have a clear stance on such sensitive issues

God created human beings in variety of races, I bet HE didnt want all those to hate one another IMHO

I heard a similar joke. There's a very funny bit like that in The Original Kings of Comedy. The gist of it was:

"How come you never hear about 20-30 black people getting shot in office? We run. If I started running right now, at least 8 of you would follow me."

 

Egypt

I went to Egypt this spring and it was certainly most worth it. If you ever do go it is highly recommended you go with a group or guide because you will get easily lost if you don't. Also watch out for the vendors as they will harass you and try to rip you off unless you are firm with them. Make sure you also establish a price with cabbies and camel guys before you go anywhere.
