Just for my curiosity, why do you want one so bad?

 

Collector reasons.
They look nice. They meet almost all of my needs.

That and because the final controller is garbage in my opinion.

 

I got told today how running Linux on my PS4 means nothing because it cant play any games
I then posted benchmarks and they left me alone.

Was totally worth proving them wrong.

 

When Is say Mod I mean install another OS probably a different version of Linux as I think Steam OS runs on the slow side, unless I've heard wrong.

I suppose I could run Model 2 and maybe Model 3 on a Latte Panda board? Something tells me that arcade emulation on the Pi is going to blow up in my face and I'm going to need something more powerful.

 

Isn't this thread sort of doing the same thing but to the opposite party? Elitist PC people may think the majority of console gamers are peasants/fools/what have you, but then we're saying the majority of PC people are toxic/rude/what have you? I'm just saying it goes both ways. In order to erase some of these preconceived attitudes some concessions need to be made.

I literally did not know until reading your message that there was an exploit thingy so PS4 could run Linux. At least one post was good for something.

I detonated mine sometime around a year ago, it's great.

My odds of running into buzzfeed have dropped down to <1%.
I don't have to see confused political rants with lots of ALL CAPS.

The only contact I have with Pc gamers is on twitch on some channels and sadly most of them are very derogative towards retro gaming, which are old games to them. Probably doesn't help that most of them are in the 14-21 year old range, making them complete tools to mainstream gaming and mainstream opinions or pressure.

 

Yet again, "if someone's a bitch, the community you switch". There's lots of retro gaming going on on Twitch you could tune into (though, admittedly, a lot of that is "only" speedruns). Or maybe you simply shouldn't force a Commander Keen discussion on a CS:GO stream? It is an old game, you know.

 

Whoa it's not the geek squad guy's fault, he was working at hot topic at the local mall only 2 months ago. He only knows how to sell stuff for self deprecating 14 year olds.

 

Why is it opne almost every PC build advice post online, people always ask if X would be good for blah blah and VIDEO EDITING..

Sounds like they just want their choice of hardware validated, seeing as video editing sort of requires a HT Quad Core haha

As someone who grew up on and still primarily uses a PC for their gaming fix, and also a lover of puns, I needed to let you know that this is fantastic.

I'm a rabid AMD fan. I was discussing GPUs with a coworker one day and I stated that my RX 480 was the fastest card to currently exist. I know that it's not, but I wanted to see his (predictable) reaction. Gentle trolling can be fun, but antagonizing people for their console purchasing decisions is childish and unnecessary.
