Same here, I especially hate does BEST BUY/PRICE stickers as they are impossible to remove without damaging the box or leaving marks!! :crying:
That "white" Sega Saturn. I can imagine the eBay listing... 'Has slight yellowing to case, but non smoking home so we are sure it will just wipe away..." Yeah!
Blimey, is that Initial D for the Saturn? 2nd row, 7 in. I never realised it was released on console. Is it any good?
My dad smashed my ps1 although i don't remember why as it was like 8/9 years ago but it was probably because i annoyed him/ did something wrong and he smahed my playstation rather than doing something stupid.
Not sure about the PlayStation but the saturn game is complete turd! Looks ok but the controls are so bad. yakumo
Holy freaking crap. That saturn is AWFUL. I can't believe it! I've seen some awful stuff in my time though. Game Gears painted with thick finger paint, etc
I used to find yellowed systems like that at yard sales and thrift shops. I would take them home, sand them down, and fresh metallic paint and such to fix them right up. It just needs a good home and it wont be ugle no more
Mh I have to disagree, I think it's not that bad at all. The controls are quite unintuitive, that's right, but once you grew a custom to the weird way of steering the vehicle it's quite fun to play. You have to accept that it controls completely different to most racing games though, including the arcade successors of Initial D. Have you ever played it with the racing controller? I wonder how that plays, if it's supported by the game that is.
Yep, played it a lot and to be honest I still think it's crap. The car controls nothing like a car which sort of defines the point really. King the Spirit 2 controlls a little odd but at least thats mor like a car than Initial D.
You do have a point here, but a racing game can still be fun even if it does not come close to simulating the reality. Someone on playasia reviewed the PS3 version (Extreme Stage) and compared the physics to driving a cardboard box on ice, which in my opinion describes the way the PS1/2/3 versions feel pretty well (haven't played it on a Saturn). I still enjoy playing console versions of Initial D though, but nothing beats the ID arcade versions. I can play ID 4 all day.
I didn't mind Initial D on the Saturn (or Playstation) either, it's not the greatest driving game on the Saturn but it's an enjoyable game and there is much much worse (hello Race Drivin, Gale Racer...).
Cardboard box on ice... lol, how true. @Jamtex Gale Racer is okay It's a horrible port, but's not as nuts as Race Drivin.
yeah a 1:1 rad mobile would have been so rad! beated that 1cc back in the arcade days. one of my fav scalers. racd drivin' on SS is  ,:crying: & in one!
Nothing worse than seeing a picture of something nice on eBay, and buying it, only to find the cock seller has posted it in shit packaging and it arrives with you crushed and destroyed. Had this a few times over the years...
I bought 2 MVS kits on ebay, and the seller shipped them in their kit boxes!! Just slapped a shipping sticker on them and some tape!
Well, they're perfectly packaged in these cartons, that's why SNK used them! It's just a shipping box really, I don't understand why you're so upset about it. ARGH!!11OH: It once happened to me that I bought a mint conditioned US Dreamcast (inserts, bags, manual, perfect box). Actually it was only the DC, but then I decided to grab some of the games he offered as well. When I opened the door for the postman, my guts froze immediately. A blank Dreamcast box with lots of brown tape around it. OMG. Okay, let's see, maybe the interior alright. When I opened the box, lots of crushed newspaper pages fell out. Oh great. He replaced the interior with newspaper to gain space for the games... whose cases were also cracked due to the console sitting right next to them.... what the fuck. I bought a mint DC + games and in the end I got a loose DC + splattered games.
