    If you value the box, always ask that they wrap it in brown paper or put it in another box. Offer extra for the materials, if necessary.

    I've got a few PC games with a cardboard sleeve faded from years of sunbathing (also had to clean them from smog, as they were sitting in a box in front of the store).

    How do you clean cardboard from smog? I have this old Japanese boxed megadrive pad and the box is almost completely brown from what i think is smog. The box itself is in excellent condition, no tears or other damage but i have no idea how to clean it.

    Sometimes I include a pen in my auction pictures to give people some size perspective of the item I'm selling. Some guy bought something and a couple of weeks later I get an email asking, "Hey....where's the pen? You forgot to include it in the box!"
