I know I randomly press buttons on my consoles while playing! Though to be fair the Pause button on my SMS always did seem to freeze my games as opposed to just temporarily pausing them.
This is a repost from the ebay thread. i bought a goldstar for $71 + $15 shipping and it came to me in more pieces than i had hoped. i have since been able to get it to work well and the only problem other than cosmetic damage is the eject button is a little crooked and the cd tray front piece is not attached. because the tray doesnt come straight out, its kinda off to one side. anyway. ebay sucks. i should have just posted in the wanted section here. you guys never let me down. another reason why i love this forum.
One from my personal collection unfortunately: I was given this NES by a friend about 10 years ago as it was his spare. He recently informed me that he recieved the NES as it is in the picture. Works fine but I have it in pieces to be cleaned and have capacitors replaced as the sound volume is so long I have to max out my amp just to hear something. The bottom has the same done to it as well. Looks like someone took a screwdriver to it and went to town. If you look closely on the bottom left there is a grey circle amongst the slight yellowing of the case.
These were posted on reddit. the guy says he bought it on ebay 2 weeks ago and usp delivered this today. How sad
Christ. Short of driving a forklift over it how has that happened. Will be good to see how UPS pass this one off
How much worse could it get? The cart is ruined. I guess it could've got lost in the post, but aside from that... it's fucked. No two ways about it.
It could have been worse in that it could have been an AES cart. Deffinately still something to be devastated about though...
The guy says it still plays. And he plans on sac'ing another cart. I dont know HOW it works, but thats the bright side.
