No camera and audio recording devices allowed . Any advice?

 

All gigs I've been to have had this on the back of the tickets, and everyone ignores them. A Cameraphone won't be confiscated, and neither will a small digital camera. You won't be able to get a DV cam in however. Also rules might be different in states, and might be enforced.

 

I just got a sealed PS2 trade demo in the mail. Before I decide if I want to open it or not, can anyone tell me if it will play on a normal PSTwo, or does it need a TEST or modded system?

 

Any recommendations on any phones that might be good for both camera and audio recording? I'm going today to get a phone from either Xcingular or Nextel.

 

Not certain on availability of this in the US, but the nokia N90 is pretty good in terms of picture quality, if a pricy phone

Look for something with a memory card, since then you have basically infinite memory. This also means that you can whip the memory card out and put it into a card reader to transfer info. Alternatively bluetooth or a USB connection can be used to transfer your pics, audio etc.

Anything running off the nokia series 60 will be good, and will run a huge array of software, such as SCUMMVM (monkey island, sam n max etc.), A mega drive emulator, a nes emulator, and my favourite, remote control software for a PC (works over bluetooth)

 

Like Evangelion said, there are 2 DC Love Hina games both by Sega unlike the Konami ones for the PlayStation. One store has a massive 80cm high Love Hina Box set for Dreamcast that I was thinking of buying to sell on my shop. THis thing is massive !! If it's still there next week (not in a shop near my place) I'll pick it up.

Could go either way... If the disc is stamped, it'll probably work on a retail system. If it's burned, then it'll need a TEST/Modded system. The fact you said it's "sealed" makes me think it's stamped...

 

If it says "Trade Demo" on it and is in a white sleeve it's stamped. It won't have a proper label on the front of the disc, rather it'll just be basic text.

Sony trade demos are the full, retail games but are pressed "for cost." Basically a developer can do a print run and not have to pay the license fee for the disc, just the replication cost. Those demos cannot be sold and must be given away. Though it is rare (most companies just send out DVD-R burns followed up by standard retail copies) a few companies will have trade demos made to send out to the press.

If you want good quality images, the Nokia N90 is second to none. It's GSM so it'll work with Cingular, but not with Nextel.

I had a feeling it was probably stamped, just wanted to make certain. Nice to know the "reasons" behind its existence as well.

 

Got a new cellphone, to replace my jurassic Nokia 3586i.

By changing the cellphone provider, i got a Sony Ericsson K750 for 1/4 of the price (almost free!). It's very small and compact.



It has a 2.0 MP camera, record movies, Mp3 player, FM Radio, ... It came with the Data cable, Phones, 64mb Memory Stick DUO,... And it has tons of games

I guess i'll finally able to take hidden pics of game stores and arcades, without being noticed.

I ordered a carry case for my DS Lite, and a game along with it just for the heck of it. So I get an email from Play-Asia 1 week ago, saying my carry case can't be shipped atm, so they'll just ship the game and the carry case for free. So I got my game in today, but I want my carry case . Which is probably gonna be a problem either way since they don't even list it anymore atm..

Grabbed that beta live debugger that was causing trouble on ebay... I'll list the price as soon as i have it in hand.

Came with 6 beta live gaves... the seller said he didn't list the titles because "they were all older games that no one would want". lol. MechAssault is included, so that makes my life a bit easier (i hope)

 

Last little while I got:

A cell phone!!! Prepaid with Virgin Mobile, my friend gabe me his old phone and account so I got 25$ for free.....it got eat up fast though.....

Got a few Saturn titles today. The footy game by Asmik looks ok but I've yet to actually see it going. Probably crap ! other titles are Free talk which is some sort of voice actress simulation, Hi-Octain (Shite) and Gussunoyoyo which is a pretty nice puzzle game.


Also got the Sakura Taisen version B special edition with what must be the most beautiful VMU made.

Yeah the soccer title is totally rubbish with terrible TERRIBLE (laughable) commentary. Nice other stuff though ,

 

Les Chattes Noires??? The black pussies??? Strange how japanese use French sometimes, you say "les chattes noires" to a french person, it will assimilated to sex directly.

I remember another called "La pucelle" on the pcengine, which means the virgin :icon_bigg in a more rude way.

I guess it sounds nice there.
